  1. Don Moser?
  2. Holy Crap! Is this THE Mith? Mith the thong-wearing cop? Don :)
  3. Also... I'm not that great at ILS landings, so this is something that I try and practice. I give myself zero visibility which really makes it hard. Most recently (today actually) I purchased, "Sim-Savy's" USA photo scenery. I'm SO excited about getting it! For a flight simulator, how much better can it get than photo scenery!
  4. A friend of mine only had one eye... he flew lear jets for a living. I flew with him a few times in his Cessna and had a blast. I think his plane was a 210 (the kind where the wheels fold up... we were returning from San Diego (at night) and he rolled the plane.... LOL... talk about a rush!
  5. The sim cam can get boring... if all you do is take off and land. So you might take it to the next level and try landing ILS etc. This is much more challenging. Since I'm pretty much bored with "flight"... I decided to take the plunge and buy the photo scenery from Sim-Savy. The thought of being able to fly anywhere in the USA and see scenery that's realistic really appeals to me. I can safely say that most of us have been waiting for photo scenery for a long time. This is how I'm going to enhance my flying experience with FSX....
  6. I'll bet MS makes a lot of money on this though....
  7. (Mith hears the jingling of the proverbial keys that lock threads approaching)... Hey, Jim is doing a good job. I have nothing bad to say about him. It takes a LOT of dedication to read all the crap we members write even if we're always misguided in what we're supposed to say! Now back on topic.... (what was the topic again?)
  8. Hi Mr. Jim... I'm assuming you're referencing my reply being as how you replied directly after my post. My humble apologies. I will certainly go back and read the rules of the forum that state a person can not reply to a thread if it's older. I also recognize that any form of "humor" should be well thought out and not inserted into a thread because we're not here to laugh. Again, I apologize for my disregard of the forum rules and I thank you for your diligence as a moderator to publicly admonish me for my lack of understanding of the rules and what's appropriate. Keep up the good work... now you'll excuse me as I have some forum rules to read.
  9. At face value you're correct... however, if he had his fingers crossed... well then, all bets are off.
  10. Am I perceiving a sense of humor there sir? YEA!
  11. MS has taken us in a new direction. This is why they offer the free demo. If it's not your cuppa tea... leave it be and continue with FSX. I have said it before and I'll say it again, from a marketing point of view, piece mealing the game is genius.
  12. You're assuming MS DID get the code right..... Flight is SO much smoother with FAR more objects (trees etc) than FSX is with far fewer objects. This is a comparison with my current system (quad core 3.0, 560TI, 8 gigs of ram, 7200 HD etc. I don't know anything about code, but I can say that Flight's code seems to be much smoother. If no backwards compatibility means smoother flying... so be it.
  13. So no negative comments in the "Flight" forum....(about Flight)....
