HI. I've been having a heck of a time trying to re-add a scenery into this new pc install. I keep getting this error. I see the simconnect.dll 60905 version as being installed on the pc, but this scenery program seems to think not. This particular scenery has been on my old machine and was on this machine a while ago. Any help? Hope this pic shows well enough. Thanks Rick

Hi again. I tried the fixes from mr z's posts, yet still stuck. I just quit flogging the dead horse and went the Steam route. I did buy fsx-se years ago, so i still 'owned' it. I just preferred fsx boxed because of familiarity. Just have to get used to the few changes in Steam i guess. To my first post tho, does anyone know if a faulty install disc would be the culprit? Hi. This is the 2 disc FSX Deluxe. I am led to believe that a reset removes everything and sets the pc up a a new windows install. Rick

Hi. I had FSX running on this machine a while back, and to make a long story short, I had to do the 'reset this pc' thing. Now when I try to reinstall I am continually getting the 1722-1603 errors. Of course, this happens about maybe 10 seconds before finishing. I have looked at the fixes on the internet, but nothing seems to work. My big question here, is if there is a problem with my FSX disc 2, would that cause this problem? I don't really think so, but I am quite tech challenged, so what do I know? Any help folks? Hi and thanks for the interest. That's exactly my point -- those tweaks being like 10 years old, do they still have relevance with all the new tech. I am sure they can't hurt, but do they do as much good today as 10 years ago. Anyway, ty for the interest . Rick

Hi all. I had to get a new pc, these are the specifications-- Intel Core i7 12700kf DDR4 16G Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 8GB6 1 TB M2 PCIE SSD this is now on Windows 11 I have a few questions about my new fsx/accel. install. First, I recall we did a couple (at least) cfg tweaks-- a HIGHMEM FIX one and something about Texture Max Load I think. Are those two still applicable now, what with all the newer pc technology? Also wondering about the Kosta or NickN tweaking guide-- are they still applicable in this day and age? One last question, for now, regarding my VANCOUVER INT'L AIRPORT (CYVR) and my ORBX products. Among many other orbx products I have the Pacific Northwest one along with FSaddon Vancouver+ V3. Now, at the west end of YVR the landmass seems to extend about an extra 1/2 mile ( I'm guessing) to the west and north, with trees and houses in what normally is water. It sems to be an orbx vector thing, but there's no joy on their forums. Even back about 7-8 years ago the issue came up, and I never did see any solutions. Anyway, any helpful info is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Rick
