  1. Downloaded successfully and all the files are in the airplane folder. When I select the AC from the library only the pilot and the gauges appear. no airplane.
  2. Hi. As I've said many times. You have to be smarter than the machine. Cheers. Don
  3. Hi. You won't believe this but I stumbled onto the fix. On the opening screen of the sim at the bottom left hand corner in small print is a selection "contacts". Not knowing what it's for I opened it and "VOILA" the sound turned on. Now all's well in my little world. Again many, many thanks for your expertise and interest. Stay healthy during this time of uncertainty. Cheers. Don
  4. Hi. Right on. NO NUTTIN Cheers. Don.
  5. Hi. Thanks again. I did that but nothing changed. Cheers. Don
  6. Hi. Yes I did. I found a "Spatial sound format" related to headphones and it was turned off. I have tried everything I can think of even an uninstall and clean reinstall of the sim from my DVD's but nothing solves the problem. I'm dumbfounded and very disappointed. I thank you again for your interest and help. I will keep trying and maybe stumble on a solution. Cheers. Don
  7. Hi. Thanks for the message. Followed your suggestion but nothing changed. Cheers. Don
  8. Hi. My sound settings page is similar to yours except in the Windows sound device box. Mine has one selection "configure" which opens the Realtek audio device which is enabled as the default device and functions properly. When flying the "sound off" does not appear on the screen. What I don't understand is why, when opened, a wav file contained in the main FSX sound folder will produce the appropriate sound and be heard but no sound of any kind is heard when running the sim program. Very mysterious. Any thoughts would be most helpful. Cheer. Don
  9. Hi. My FSX Sound folder does NOT contain a sound.cfg. Do you know how I can resolve this issue? Many thanks for your help. Cheers. Don.
  10. Hi. I hit the wrong button before I explained the problem. Not very smart. Every element of FSX functions properly except the sound. The sound option is checked and all the volume sliders centered. When I open the sound folder (FSX/Sound) all the files are there and when I activate a wav file the the sound is heard, but not so when I run the program. Very mysterious. Would be very grateful your expert help. Cheers. Don.
  11. Hi. Thanks for your prompt reply. The screen shot is fine. Am trying to fix the light issue in the sim itself. When I prepare the default 172 for a flight and turn on the nav and strobe lights, the exterior view shows the lights blinking but they are surrounded by square boxes also blinking. Don't know why this occurs. Again many thanks for your expertise. Cheers. Don
  12. Hi. I saw the offering for the Globe Swift ( AH Swift FSX_v1_3 ) downloaded it from the company and added it to my hangar in FSX Deluxe Edition. (FSX/SimObjects/airplanes) All went well until I activated the light panel switch. The light blinked and went dark. The exterior nav and strobe lights have colored boxes around them. I then moved the Swift files from FSX to a temp folder hoping to resolve the issue but found the exterior light problem remained with all the my other planes in the sim. Can anyone help me fix this problem. If so I would be most thankful. Cheers. Don
