  1. Excellent model and all systems work smoothly but it has hideous discs for the propeller blades when running. Not good. Any idea how this can be fixed SIMPLY.
  2. This aircraft that was truly excellent in FS2004 is now available in FSX. I have downloaded it and all is OK but NO GAUGES. I have checked all the files and read the "Read me" but nowhere can I find them. Any suggestions?+
  3. I loaded the aircraft from Fly Away Simulation. There is a cab file waiting to be used but wherever it is placed/loaded etc it does not show up.
  4. Thanks for the advice. I have used the S button but all I get is a very overlarge section of the panel that is fuzzy and with no autopilot settings, heading, etc. - completely useless. A great pity as the model is outstanding. Does anyone know how I can remedy this?
  5. I am not really with VC panels. How do I bring it up? "A" just gives me a distorted front view of a minute section of the panel.
  6. I have downloaded the excellent Rob Richardson Shorts 360 but no panel shows up. How can I find it and if necessary install it?
  7. Mrzippy ,firstly thanks for all your help and the screenshots I have will not load as the extension is incorrect. However I have your image exactly. I have also found that the other images come if I use Cockpit view - radio shack etc BUT still no complete panel that I can use to set up radio frequencies, AP , air speed etc
  8. Well guys I have tried all your suggestions but`with very limited success. I have loaded the aircraft and they are excellent externally. There is never any panel but on the suggestion that I should press the A key I get the top ,of the panel about 2cms deep and if I press it again untra large views of a small part of the panel etc.. Someone said press F10 but that does nothing. Do these Richardson models have a 2d panel as well which one can switch to in flight? No real luck yet. They all load easily as instructed but never mention what to do about a VC or 2 d panel. Any clues for me? Many thanks Michael
  9. Gentlemen. I have now completed the advice to "Verify integrity of Games cache" Both routes obtained a satisfactory result: so no problems there. However I have now looked closely at the folders for three particular aircraft. The Avro Shackleton, the Gloster Meteor T7 and the Shorts 360. All have a similar list of folders. The aircraft has the PANEL folder and the aircraft CFG in each case says the normal PANEL= . Inside the PANEL folder is another PANEL cab file with CFG with full coding plus folders of images.. It seems to me that something is wrong with the installation but I follow the designers instructions carefully. Any ideas?
  10. Thanks guys. I'll try the recommended action next week when I am back at my PC and let you know if I was successful.
  11. I have a Steam edition of FSX but almost all add on aircraft lack panels although the Panel CFG is intact. I understand that I may need SP1 and then SP2. I have downloaded these and tried to install them but it asks me to re-install the original FSX. That I did but it still will not install SP1 and SP2. Is there any reason why this should be and is the the service pack absence the real cause of missing panels? Finally all Project Opensky addons do have panels correctly.
  12. Thanks guys. Yes I now recall that it was a box with a code inside and after rummaging around I found it. I can now try to go back to square one. Thanks again.
  13. I am told I have to install SP1 and SP2 to add on certain aircraft etc. However when I go to load SP1 they ask me to re install FSX . My FSX Steam edition is on disks but my current computer has no disk facility. The old one has been destroyed. Any suggestions as to how I get round this problem?
  14. Thanks to everybody for their help. I see that the winter scenery in the UK is considered by many to look like desert so I will live with it. At the moment I am adding aircraft including the Shackleton from Simouthouse but they all seem to not display their panels. I'll find how to do it in due course.
  15. I have just downloaded the Project Opensky FSX 747 and as soon as I decide to fly the programme stops with "Aircraft overstressed" and I havn't even started the take off run. I have changed the airport and changed the load etc but all to no effect. Can anyone advise me what to do?
