  1. If you want a flight simulator that works go with P3D. If you want a flight simulator full of bugs go for MSFS.
  2. I also recommend PayPal. I've used it for many years without a problem........Doug
  3. I don't have a clue about any of this stuff but I just wanted to take a moment and welcome you to the forum(s). There are lots of smart folks here and I'm sure you'll find some help......Doug
  4. There is no airport on St. John's Island. Are you looking for the Cruz Bay seaplane base?
  5. I don't know about the other versions but I just did a fresh install of the Deluxe Edition yesterday and after the mandatory updates the size is 119GB
  6. Thanks for the tip Larry. I'd never heard of this guy but I know now I've really missed something. Those interested can find him here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOTbYtdmGZfqxq0D0lsrYeQ/featured .
  7. I just saw a post to a thread that was last updated over 21 years ago. Is this a new record? Does anyone remember a response to anything older than that?.....Doug
  8. Somehow, without the antenna farm(s) things just don't feel right. But I guess that's just because I'm an old fart now and trying to relive a part of my youth. 73, Doug - W2DR
  9. I have quite a few hours in 737 Level D's and a couple of hours with the 767 and 747. And I gotta tell ya...you're going to love it. One thing you might want to consider is deciding what you want to do before you get there. Takeoffs and touch-and goes? What airport(s)? Maybe even a short IFR with a CAT III landing (KSJC-KSFO is a really good one). Here's what you can look forward to:
  10. You should be fine. I use Ultra settings in most all situations with no problems. I just took a short flight from KSFO 28R over downtown San Francisco. The framerate was locked at 30 and it never went lower. I've seen the same thing for NYC out of La Guardia. I agree with Steve, try it, you just may like it.....Doug
  11. Truer words were never spoken. If a driver release has updates specific to your GPU then do the update. Otherwise don't. All this "use the newest driver" talk is nonsense. Always remember...if it ain't broke. don't fix it.
  12. "Nobody trusts a first poster in the Swapsies forum!" You've got that right.
