Nels was kind enough to add some new images I sent. They're more representive, I think.

To be clear, the images FlightSim chose are in no way representive of the GCA add-on. While it's true that GCA was used (mostly by the Navy) with jets up until a few years ago, and while it's true you can still get a Carrier Controlled Approach (CCA) on an aircraft carrier, the 'talk-down' system was mainly used during the 40s and 50s, most famousy during the Berlin Airlift when over 10,000 aircraft landed using the system. If you fly Connies or two- or four-engine Douglas prop-liners, or Boeings this add-on will act like a time machine and take you back to the era Ernie Gann wrote about.
