  1. I bought the Zenith on the marketplace several months but I have used it little because of the difficulty in short field landings. I can come in at 20 mph over stall speed fine. When I start lowering the throttle, however, the nose heads for the sky and airspeed drops below stall and I drop like a rock. Pushing forward on the stick doesn't do any good because of the lack of airspeed over the tail. Adding throttle makes matters worse because the leading edge slats leave the stall first and kick the nose up even more. I found this explanation on the publisher's website but not what to do about it. I checked the real plane's POH, and it said no special techniques or training were required. From this I gather the problem does not exist on the real plane. I bought the plane on the marketplace so therefore it is not a sure thing that I have all the updates. I am using modern flight model so that is not the problem. There are others using the Zenith for STOL so there must be a technique for doing a short steep final. I would appreciate advice because I always wanted one IRL and that is why I bought it. It would be nice if it wasn't a hanger queen. Thanks, Jefferysitz
  2. In some ways I agree. I quit simming for a while then came back for msfs 2020. I was disgusted with my landing ability for weeks then put p3d back on. With p3d I can land just fine. The physics are simply garbage in msfs. There seems to be no propeller drag, or a sudden drag when you flair. Most of the planes might as well not have flaps for all the good they do you. I have not flown that many real planes but they reacted to the air much differently than msfs, more like p3d. I do recall that the flaps on a Mooney don't seem to do much, but when you cut the power and drop full flaps in a 150 it is like having a door slammed into you. That being said, over the months it has gotten better. At least you can taxi most of the planes now.
  3. Thank you for the prompt reply. I will do as you say and maybe it will fix my problems
  4. I have fsx steam edition but it does not have acceleration built in. Most later planes will either not work or have a bunch of gauges missing. I have p3d v5 but almost no fsx stuff will work on there. I am having a license issue with my p3d v2 so I am hoping Lockheed-Rand will get back to me on that. Most reports I have read said that acceleration (which now goes for 70 dollars US) will not work on Windows 10 and is very hard to get activated. Is there anything I can do to run the newer freeware planes for fsx? Thanks in Advance Jeffery Sitz
  5. Your guide says for FSX and P3D 1.x. Does this mean you do not recommend it for 2.x or that it just has not been tested?
