  1. http://www.bobholland.com/fs/fsnav/default.htm This link describes it as now free.
  2. I prefer to get FSUIPC downloads direct from the developers forum. This link provides detailed descriptions on which FSUIPC version you require. https://forum.simflight.com/topic/80977-updated-modules/

    Wonky ATC ?

https://flightaware.com/resources/airport/EGCC/map is a current overhead view of the real world EGCC. It has two approximate 10,000 foot parallel runways separated by 6,000 feet with the intent during busy traffic times to use one for takeoff and another for landing simultaneously. FS9 default airports do not recognize simultaneous run way operations. What scenery add-on are you using for EGCC if any. You can dedicate this type of operation by setting runway priviledges on EACH END the same, one runway for takeoff and the other for landings. This is the FS9 default EGCC partial runway information as shown in the freeware Airport Design Editor. There are others but please do not use AFCAD which is outdated and might corrupt your scenery files. The default EGCC has both runways enabled for take-off and landings. Modify so one is set for landings only on each end and the other take-off only on each end. The default EGCC Runway 6L/24R has ILS systems at each end and would be the preferred runway for landing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchester has a good discussion included about EGCC operations and design choices. Also note that while parallel, the runways are offset lengthwise from each other. This reduces taxi paths crossing an active runway. As John stated, there are runway entrances and exists besides the beginning points and for heavies some taxiing to one end of the runway via the runway (taxi-back) might be required.
  4. The three files are needed to establish the scenery airport world (in FS) that you have loaded, ai aircraft you have loaded. and the flight plans the ai are to follow. http://stuff4fs.com/newpage.asp?JS=True&Folder=AIFP is a freeware utility that uses the traffic tools methods and in fact uses ttools for its manuals. It looks complicated but it checks for errors as you go pretty much. It can ttools files and show missing models etc. It will also create airport.txt from your installed scenery as I recall. It is freeware that I suggest you examine as there is some hand holding. It will also ingest existing ai flight plans creating the files you need that can then be modified and recompiled. I suggest you take a look. The author is a member of one of the ai flight plan creating organizations and he created this tool to provide a tool to create and modify them. It will take some practice but once you get familiar it really can be a good tool to help in the creation and modification process.
  5. https://forum.simflight.com/topic/80977-updated-modules/ https://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/ are updated by Pete Dowson. Sometime the schiratti links are not updated soon enough. The updated modules page has in the item descriptions which file is applicable to your version of the sim. These modules are the same for the paid registration and free one. If you want a paid registration there is a setting that is set from receiving your registration code that will be e-mailed to you to execute as I recall. Check the fsuipc current manuals. Some items are modified only for specific aircraft which been loaded into the sim at the time you make those control type selections. In the application adjustment at the time of adjustment there may be an option to apply it to all aircraft or just the one that is loaded into the sim.
  6. At one time changing the magdec file caused the PMDG Navigation Approach autoland system to steer aircraft off course by a few degrees. There was a thread on this on the old PMDG classic forum on another site. Restoring the original magdec file cured that problem. So be careful and keep copy of the original.
  7. When you do an original installation, Windows registry settings are entered and modified by the installer. If you just copy an application folder during a move or restoration these settings are not set. That can cause a possible crash.
  8. FSUIPC which is licensed by Hi-Fi Sim enabling use of advanced weather related features of the paid FSUIPC registered versiom. Weather smoothing is available to prevent sudden shifts as I recall.
  9. There was something in FSUIPC for FS9 (I have the registered payware version) that has something to do with the increments in panels. "A set of “fast” FS autopilot value increment/decrement controls. These add to the default FS “inc” and “dec” controls with ten times the increment. Values handled are Altitude, Speed, Mach, V/S, Heading, and both OBIs (Courses)." This is the opposite of what you are looking for but but this section is titled Fix Control Acceleration. Again, this is a paid registration version of FSUIPC4. The is also some button functioning for inc and dec granularity in the advanced user guide. If you install with paid registration active you'll get the standard and advanced user guides in the FSUIPC FS9 folder (in .pdf format). Now Ken programmed his panels from scratch so maybe he had something in there.
  10. There is a freeware KMBS file here on flightsim FS9 scenery but it was added in 2007 so it would not have the new terminal.
  11. FS9 SDKs are archived here: http://www.avsim.com/topic/383312-all-the-sdks-fs2004-available-here/ They include the bgl language compiler and component specifics with examples. Some FS9 components specifically gauges may be programmed in XML as well as C and C++. Look through the various SDKs to get an idea of the "flow" of things via the documentation sample code. Thankfully there are freeware and payware construction kits to reduce the need of high level language programming. For FSX the SDK was part of the Gold FSX package. The SDKs were not completely included in the Steam FSX Gold edition released by Dovetail Games. Remember it took a team (called Microsoft ACES) of specialists where design genres were divided among its members. Trying to do it all is a very huge task and requires multiple specialties.
