  1. No thanking needed; it was the right thing to do, period. That's a minimum for a good person (or one trying to be one)...but hey, let the love-in continue, if that's your thing.
  2. Zero is a null. With no .bgl files present, a null review was simply apropos. It has been withdrawn, as that was the right thing to do, in the wake of your correction.
  3. It has been my experience that PMs here do not get answered.
  4. TRUTH. I use FSX Processkiller and good ol' Task Manager to close out a bunch of superfluous programs. There is a YT vid about how to remove Gamebar Presence Writer that I recommend. I literally have my FSX, weather engine and a few other FS-related icons in the right side of my desktop in a single column, with non-FS stuff in a single column on the left. Desktop imagery is a rotating selection of my best screenshots, changing every 30 minutes.
  5. It may have more to do with how many aircraft are in your hangar, or how much add-on scenery is in use. This FSX pilot does experience lag and stutter issues, but only in areas where I have a lot of intensive scenery add-ons. I also use 2 different freeware weather engines. FSrealWX is used in resource-intensive areas for VA flights, and FSXWX usually suffices for most areas of the world, and all non-VA flights. I have a methodology that works for me, and that is enough.
  6. When I got my new Win11 PC last year, I put a comprehensive installation of FSX on it. I had not flown FS9 since 2012, but had a lot of my old comprehensive install backed up. I now have a decent FS9 setup on my Win10 PC that the grandkids are learning to fly on. Alas, I do not seem to be able to get a working EditVoicepack ability for it, but I already had a pretty comprehensive voicepack from a decade ago. The Beech Starship (VC version; not Mike Stone's) is wonderful in FS9, but misses something in FSX. Ditto the Venaviones Turbo Commander. MSFS was on the agenda to acquire this year, but the MSFS24 announcement came out. I'll be flying FSX with a sprinkling of FS9 for another year or two, at least. Hopefully, all of the things that I have read about MSFS that led me to delay/ignore it will be remedied in MSFS24. The essential message of this thread is a King Crimson title: Be Happy With What You Have to be Happy With.
  7. None of these are in my hangar, but I have had the top two of them in the past. IIRC, there is door operation via the hotkeys at the lower left.
  8. There are a few different answers, aside from the obvious RTFM one. Some of Rick's aircraft have hotkey menus with a door operation function. The OP does not provide enough specificity to answer along this line further.
  9. It might be a logbook issue. I had one the other day; FSX would not get past the splashscreen, and Task Manager indicated that it was running, along with UT2 and the Couatl scripting engine. It's a good thing that I had Logedit 3 installed. My prior flight had experienced a OOM issue (which I have troubleshot as being due to FSXWX issues; back to FSrealWXLite for flying in scenery-intensive areas; problem solved). It was a matter of erasing the OOM-aborted flight, and voila; FSX launched normally, and behaved as it should. I was able to complete the aborted flight, which my VA auto-accepted the PIREP for.
  10. That's a very nice paint, arnakkian, and I'd like to acquire it. Of course, I have done a paint of my own, as well. What interests me even more would be the FDE edits. Please feel free to PM me.
  11. It would be nice if you included the gauge for the whiskey compass and labelled the light switches.
  12. It may be possible to augment this scenery with certain objects from the Nine Dragons FS2004 freeware scenery for VHHX. As a FlyTampa payware user, I don't have the need to experiment, but as a retro-flying enthusiast, I can tell you that this methodology has worked for EFNB, LCNC, and WIID. The author does indicate that this is merely a basic scenery.
  13. If only there were the elusive EgyptAir paint for this bird...
