  1. Does anybody know how I can delete the copilot/instructor avatar on the Bulldog? He tends to get in the way when doing right turns.
  2. To be honest, with the Reverb I have so far found it best to just load FS2020 as for PC mode. I then switch on the Reverb if I have not already done so and press Control /Tab for VR. After a few seconds, the split screen comes up, and I put the headset on. That is it ready to fly. I have nearly got the settings pretty much the way I want them, so I am leaving them alone for the moment. What I am intending to do next is get my old log book out from the days when I had a PPL and retrace the flights I did then.
  3. My Quest was/is just14 months old, and I was considering replacing it when the air link and cable link stopped working. 58 emails to Meta support until eventually they admitted that could not fix the problem but refused to replace the headset. So I had no choice but to go to the Reverb. The graphics are definitely much better and sharper than the Quest, and it is far less fiddly to get it running each time I go flying. One thing that does puzzle me is that a lot of reviews mention a sweet spot. It might be just me, but I cannot see any difference between the centre of FOV and the edges of it. I also found that using a cable tie to hold the cable to the headset works better than the supplied clip
  4. In normal PC mode, I run FS2020 at almost all ultra or top end of the settings. I have just bought an HP Reverb and I am very impressed with the improvement over my now redundant Quest. But I am having a bit of trouble fettling the settings in VR mode. Any recommendations welcome, but not too techy as my old brain cannot handle it.
  5. The Quest was okay as far as it went, even if it seemed to take a awful lot of fettling whenever I used it. But the attitude of Meta when it developed a fault is unforgivable. From the Quest forum I get the impression that a lot of other people across the world have run into the same brick wall that I did.
  6. My Meta Quest 2 which is fourteen months old recently developed a fault whereby it would not respond to either the cable link or airlink. Thus rendering it useless for FS2020, which was the reason I bought it. I have contacted Meta support a total of 44 times so far. Each time I get asked for a different and more obscure bit of information. Having checked the Meta forum I find that this is the normal way that Meta support deal with matters. They just keep you tagging along until you eventually give up. I would advise anybody considering the Meta Quest to avoid it like the plague. I have now done what I should have done in the first place and ordered a Reverb from System Active and I actually got to speak to somebody in English, English who knew what they were talking about.
  7. Thanks for the replies. It seems as though I got my USB A and Cs mixed up in my original post. I will opt to give the Reverb another try especially as my Quest has decided that it will no longer work with Airlink. I am not sure what the problem is it just gradually started to go wonky in Airlink and then packed in altogether. I will give it a last try with a cable link now that their price has dropped to a few pounds and if that does not work it will become an expensive book end.
  8. Not sure if this is the right place for this but I am thinking of replacing my Quest 2 with something better but not extortionately expensive. I have just upgraded my PC and it runs FS2020 virtually on ultra across the field. So no problems there. I am looking at the Pico 4 and HP Reverb. I have tried the Reverb in the past but always had trouble getting it to work due to a lack of a USB A port. (The USB A to USB 3 adapters are totally useless). I now have a USB A port on my PC, but the Pico 4 is looking quite good value. Anybody tried it with FS2020?
