  1. Hello! Would anyone know where I can find the SkySpirit2012 747-8i paintkit? I've looked through the file library, yet have been unable to locate it so far. I also did a check of the Avsim library as well, and that too came up empty. Thanks! Tristar35
  2. I'd go for my HJG/Vistaliners Lockheed L'1011 Ship One. A great classic that feels modern without dullness of modern Boeing & Airbus offerings, which are seemingly all the same. Also, HJG still seem to be steadily plugging away. They recently released their December 2022 holiday update which added several new repaints to their downloads page. Regards, Tristar35
  3. Thank you all for your suggestions and advice, though at this point I have pretty much given up on the SSTSIM version, and have instead gone back to using Guzman's & HJG/FS France's Concordes. May not have as immersive of an experience, though at least it's something. Guess that's what happens when you take a chance on very old software. Regards, Tristar35
  4. Not sure is this is of any help to figuring out my problem, but I also tried swapping .air files with the Concorde from FSFrance/HJG, thinking that it might be something to do with the flight dynamics. However, doing so did not resolve the problem, though it did sort of allow for the bird to track straight a bit better when rolling out on takeoff. I do know that there was a restriction on the no. 4 engine of Concorde which did not permit it to run at full power until after takeoff. Though going back to the .air file swap attempt, I feel as though this would have been visible in the gauges as a lower reading from no. 4, not to mention noticeable whilst flying. Any other ideas on what this might be?
  5. Have you checked to see if the key binding got changed? That would be my first instinct if encountering this issue. Perhaps when adding a new controller the button or function that was added removed this key binding in the process.
  6. Reassigned through the FS settings and it still seems to do it. Also checked it without any of my controllers plugged in and even with the keyboard it still does it. Can also confirm that it is addon specific as other addon aircraft that I have do not experience this. This is very strange.
  7. Yep. Gave that a shot when I first noticed the problem and the aircraft didn't respond to the adjustments.
  8. Good evening, I recently decided to go ahead and get the SSTSIM Concorde addon as I was looking to challenge myself with something other than the average Boeing or Airbus. However, even after setting up my aircraft for flight correctly, there is one problem which I have consistently faced with this addon. That is this natural tendency for the jet to bank itself to right regardless of fuel management or trim settings. In short, as soon as I let go of the controls and let the airplane go into its natural resting spot in flight, the resting position it finds is one which has about a 5'ish degree right wing down angle to it. Other than that, the aircraft flies and behaves as if nothing is wrong. Only requiring me to to constantly input opposite aileron, (left aileron in this case), to keep the wings level in flight. Akin to what you would be doing in a single engine prop plane. If anyone has encountered this phenomenon or knows how to fix this, or if this is just how Concorde flies, please let me know as I am truly enjoying the challenge that of which the Concorde provides. Thanks!
  9. Hello! I wanted to ask if anybody has advice regarding how to best work with Posky paint kits? I am particularly interested in the process of getting the fuselage body accurately sliced up in Photoshop for use in the various .bmp files that make up the models fuselage textures as this is currently the point which I am stuck at in the repainting process.
  10. Same on my end as well. Still getting the MySQL error when attempting to download anything from the file library.
  11. If you willing to spend some time working in DXTBMP, you can try taking a newer fsx/p3d repaint that is for an fs9 to fsx conversion, (think AIA, AIG, UTT, or TFS for instance), and revert the newer textures back to 1024x1024 bmp files, which you can then use on the original fs9 model that the fsx/p3d conversion was made from. Note that you'll also need to use the mirror image and alpha setting in DXTBMP after saving out a new 24-bit bmp in paint/your preferred image editing software. Doing so has allowed me to replicate an early to mid twenty-teens ai traffic lineup to some degree. Albeit unless I'm mistaken, the newest ai airliner your can get for fs9 is a 787. Though I would be glad to be proven wrong should fs9 models for the a350, a330neo and other current day airliner models exists. For me, what really stinks is that nobody bothered to look at Dee Waldron's tristar during the late 2000s and mid twenty-teens and say, "you know, it would be nice if the community had a more refined ai tristar," and then made one. I know Dee and others did a great job for the time which they lived in, but my goodness does it look old when next to other ai models. That if anything is what I really wish we had gotten from the aircraft developer community. One thing though that we must not forget is that there is still HJG/Historic Jetliners Group, which is currently still got what I suspect is quite a bit more up their sleeves. If anything, I think that once HJG decides to move on from fs9, that we will then officially know if the period in which new aircraft and or repaints for fs9 is truly over. Tristar35
  12. While I have a vague understanding that a VC is built into a single model in fs9, unlike in fsx where they are two separate entities, I am curious as to why so many addon designers both early on and now, have chosen to not include even simple virtual cockpits for their fs9 addons? This comes from an observation of mine in that outside of payware products, many airliners and even smaller non commercial aviation addons have no virtual cockpits for their fs9 versions. Was there something which made VC inclusion in fs9 more problematic than in fsx? Or was more or less down to a personal preference? I ask as I have always been stunned by how relatively few fs9 addon designers chose to include even a basic VC like the ones found in all of the stock aircraft, which fs9 comes with, (737-400, 747-400, etc.). Also, I am equally curious as to what the actual process of placing a VC into an fs9 aircraft is like, as I am interested in understanding what makes this process so different from that of the ones used by FSX addon designers. Kind regards, Tristar35
  13. Having downloaded a few repaints for the fs9 PA A380, I have noticed that several of them come with virtual cockpit textures. However, from what I have found in the library, the only ones which I have seen mention having a VC are ones which use a virtual passenger cabin feature, not an actual virtual cockpit for player/pilot to fly from. Example of this being the fictional Virgin Atlantic PA A380 repaint addon which has VC cockpit textures, but all the models I have found only use a default, Virtual Cabin, or WV(Wing view I presume) model. Any ideas on where I can find the non-virtual cabin VC model for fs9? Thanks! Tristar35 Link to the information I saw indicating that a fs9/fs2004 PA A380 addon existed: https://www.fly-euroharmony.com/forum/index.php?topic=6951.0
