My aircraft is not on the tarmac at "Enter to Fly" . Planes drops as if they are 2-3 feet above the tarmac (or more). So what setting did I mess up folks? pck42 Alienware Aurora AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor 3.59 GHz 32MB Windows 11 Flying is just plane fun

OK Folks, Solved the problem by editing the "flight_model.cfg" file. Line item was Contact points. Default is 7.?? feet from Center of Gravity. Changed this to 5 feet and all is good. I know it is wrong but (haha) love to tinker around. Thanks for all your help! pck42

Hi Tiger, Your response gave me a clue. Would it happen with other aircraft? Turns out NO. Only the 208B Grand Caravan EX. OK, so would it happen at other airport? Turn out YES. So I think I got an airplane.config problems. Maybe, but i can't find a line item that would addess the issue. Tried slew mode with F1 key before hitting "Ready to Fly". No luck. Any ideas? pck42

Hi, Trying to add Weight and Balance to the aircraft cfg did not work but there is a work around. Load the plane (Grand Caravan) as desired and save the flight plan. Nesxt time open the flight plane and change the Depature/Destination. Caravan will remain configured with passengers already loaded. pck42

Kudos to David.Reset AI info as he suggested and did a cold and dark start up at KJFK. Some parked planes were visible, started the injector and OMG so many planes. I could not see the taxi way nor could I get through to ATC to get taxi clearance. OK time to restart. This time I did not use the injector until I was near the runway. Lots of planes moving. Fun times. Tried this at KORL (orlando) but it doesnt have much traffic so nothing was moving. One plane did arrive while I was taxiing. Thank all of you for your suggestions pck42

No dumb question kingnorris, I am Live and fly 10 am to 4 pm usually 2-3 45 minute flights in a grand caravan. 25 IFR and 25 VFR with 3 parked planes. How can the airport be abandoned??? Just feel FSLTL is not connecting to FS2020. pck42 Hmm? Sim time being UTC? Tha would put me at night wouldnt it. Is that what you meant?

While I believe I have followed instuctions completly. FSLTL injector will start and I proceed to taxi as directed. I see no other planes. Takeoff from KDCA ( pretty busy airport ) Fly over the airport but there are no parked planes at all. Perhaps one stationary on a runway. No planes in the sky. All AI aircraft are off and density at 0. FSLTL injector and base are in the community folder. Thanks to both of you. Im using FS2020. Unfortuately There is no Weight and Balance parameter in the aircraft cfg. ( There is in some others) Think I might try and add that to the cfg and see what happens. Oh! HAHA, I'll do a back up don't worry:rolleyes: Will let you know so we can share with others. pck42

Grand Caravan needs to load passenger/cargo weight for each flight. Is there a cfg file which would permently load the weights. pck42

Hi and thanks for this tweak. I can now land my Caravan properly. However I have looked for other model.cfg and none that I find gives the extensive list of parameters. All are very short perhaps one screen. So how can I do this for Cesena 172 SP or Beechcraft Bonanza. Thank you for your reply Pck42

Hi there, Welcome to the world of us octogetarians. I 'm 80 and have similar but not as sever eyesight issues. Personally I bought from MS store and was pleased. My advice wuold be to get the biggest damm monitor (42")and a second one. In fs2020 you can put the PFD on a second montior which is easier to see. Love to fly with you sometime pck42
