  1. I have heard that real pilots are trained on complex machines called Fixed base flight simulators. You can set specific conditions in these simulators such as extreme weather, fuel shortage, engine failure etc. Is there a flight sim SOFTWARE that allows you to put such conditions? As far as I know, most Sims don't allow you to simulate a situation where the plane runs out of fuel, or one engine catches fire etc.
  2. Thank you @surrodox2001 , @Luke , and @lmhariano
  3. Thank you @mrzippy @Skywatcher12 and @amberdog1
  4. My laptop exceeds the game's system requirements, but I want to know if it will be a smooth gaming experience. My system specs are: Processor: Intel Core I3 processor 2 Core, 2 GHz, 2000 MhZ RAM: 4GB RAM Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 520, 1 GB Adapter RAM I have enough hard disk space on my laptop. Can my computer run FSX Steam? Has anyone played this game on an older PC? How was your experience?
  5. Thank you for your response. I tried following these settings, but the plane is really hard to control that way. Were you able to actually get into combat with these two apps? I mean were you able to successfully shoot down planes using mousetojoy and vjoy? Thanks
  6. Can anyone suggest older flight sims where I can fly a planes with only a mouse and keyboard? Flight sticks are very expensive in my country. I found CFS2 which is AWESOME but does not allow me to fly bombers. Can you suggest any names?
  7. I have explained how CFS 2 can be installed on Windows 10 here: https://randomstuffbyakshay.blogspot.com/2020/09/installing-combat-flight-simulator-2.html
  8. Anyone? So nobody has ever used a mouse to play this game?
  9. If CFS3 does not work on Windows 10 even after using the No-CD file, try this: 1. Download an archive called dgvoodoo2 from this link . 2. Extract the contents of this archive to some folder on your computer. Now, look for a file called "D3D8.dll" in the extracted contents. It will probably in the "MS" folder. Copy this file. 3. Navigate to the folder where you have installed CFS3. Paste the file in this folder 4. Now your game should work. If the screen is too big, in the game go to options => Display settings and change the resolution Cheers!
  10. Hello everyone, How are you doing? I am new to this forum and am generally new to flight simulation games in general. I have played CFS2 for about 6 months and absolutely loved it. CFS2 has an option when you right-click on it called "mouse as stick". If you click on it, it allows you to use your mouse as a flight controller. I have just installed CFS3 because I am crazy about the European theatre of WW2. However, I do not see an option to use my mouse as joystick. Can anyone help me with this? I remember reading on some website that there is a "mouse as yoke" setting in some config file but I haven't been able to find it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
