  1. I asked this question in MSFS forum, but I didn't understand what the replied person was saying. So asking here. While in flight, cockpit and external view, can you turn off the POI (Points of Interest) labels with a keyboard command? Also in external view, can you turn off all the instrument overlays, and turn back on again after taking a screenshot? I can not see these commands in the keyboard list? Please don't reply with technical abbreviations, as I have only been with the sim a few weeks, so I am still learning. Thank you
  2. As all audio including the ATC were loud and clear with the Rift Headphones, and the Rift is connected to the HDMI. I disconnected the Rift and used the only HDMI port to my LG TV hoping ALL sound would come through the TV speakers. Same problem as before, again the ATC is a whisper but all other sounds clear. The ATC audio MUST be coming through the HDMI, as it does with the Rift headphones, so why not the TV speakers? This is impossible and extremely puzzling! This has to be some kind jinx! So this is happening of both audio outputs, the speaker output on the motherboard and the audio output via the HDMI. How can I present this problem direct to Asobo, rather than go through all the different forums?
  3. Exactly what I am saying is. ALL the audio is working fine when wearing my Oculus Rift VR headset with headphones. However, I don't like playing in VR, because of the fuzzy graphics in VR (although smooth framerate), and more importantly the discomfort of the headset. So I much prefer playing FS in normal monitor mode. The powered speakers are connected to the speaker output on the motherboard. Never have any problems with any audio on the PC. I start FS2020 and the Asobo intro music is clear as is all the FS music. I start a flight, inside the cockpit and the aircraft engine and other sounds are clear. But the talking sounds from ATC are very quiet, just a whisper. You cant hear what the ATC is saying. What I have not tried yet, is to connect the LG TV to the HDMI (after disconnecting the Rift) output of the GPU, and hear if ALL the sounds are coming through the TV speakers. Normally the TV is connected to the second Display Port on the GPU and the Oculus Rift is connected to the HDMI. Display Ports transmits video, but no sound. HDMI transmits video and sound. The Dell monitor (connected to DP1) does not have built in speakers, so I have to use the 'speaker out' connection with the speakers on each side of the monitor. It is a pity my GPU only has one HDMI out port.
  4. I have posted this problem on other Flightsim forums. I have been into FS2020, nearly 3 weeks but I am still unable to find the solution to NO ATC sound? I have checked ALL the audio settings on FS and Win10. PC speakers are selected on Win10, and all the audio settings in FS are 100% volume. I get all other sounds, like aircraft noise, music, et. I have tried the volume knobs on the aircraft radio, et. However, when I am playing the sim in VR Oculus Rift CV1 the ATC sound through the Rift headphones are crisp and clear. I don't like playing in VR, because the visual clarity and sharpness is not very good, and the headset is uncomfortable. It seems there is no solution, as after 3 weeks a solution would have been found?
  5. Hi. See my new Intro thread. My purchase of FS2020 via Steam and then Xbox Games was a nightmare! Like you, I was on phone to Microsoft support, who were like dummies. Eventually got through to someone who sorted out the purchase problem. Take it easy
  6. Have to say London UK, as there is London, Ontario Canada. Only into FS2020 Premium for 2 weeks. The purchase via Steam was a nightmare, as the Xbox login to start the FS2020 download kept rejecting my password even though correct? I then applied for a refund from Steam, and received it very quick. Tried again 2 days later but direct via the Xbox Game hub, again it rejected password. Had to contact Microsoft/Xbox support, and they talked me through the problem. The purchase did go through, but the purchased FS2020 did not show up on my Xbox Game Hub on the PC, so as to download it. Had to contact Microsoft/Xbox support AGAIN! This time they sorted it, so FS2020 appeared in my purchased games. What a nightmare purchase with Microsoft! Never did find out what the problem was. Anyway, all now is fine., and FS2020 runs smooth in high settings on my i7-6700K, 32GB Ram, GTX980Ti, and SSD's. I was planning a hardware upgrade last October, but severe supply problems prevented this, for time being. I was planning on taking real flying lessons last spring 2020, at Redhill Aerodrome in Surrey, with I Diamond Katana DA20 A1. However, thanks to the nasty deadly Corona virus, this was all cancelled. Hopefully, start again this coming summer, In the meantime practice with FS2020. All the best and stay safe.
  7. Just joined. An Intro. Just purchased FS2020 Premium. Used to play FS2000 or 2002 cant remember exact, but has long gone from my updated PC. I wanted to do a hardware upgrade last October 2020, but severe supply problems prevented it. Try again in Spring. However on my present system i7-6700K (o/clocked), 32GB Ram, GTX980Ti and 1.46TB SSDs (750GB spare), FS2020 seems to run very smooth in high graphics settings. My VR Oculus Rift CV1, although is fantastic in FS in some ways, the graphics are not very sharp, even after tweaking. And besides I find the headset is very uncomfortable for any length of time. Trying to work out how to add my own objects to FS, by using Blender and the SDK. Looking for online written tutorials? I have used 3D Apps before, so some experience. Oh yes, how do you add a profile photo, can't see how?
