  1. From another Slick driver..:)) Best way to get going fast, if you know next to nothing about MSFS 2020, I suggest going to YouTube and search for what you want to know. It's way to long to cover it in here. Try the one below for your Camera question. Don't give up, if you like to fly, it will be well worth your time to learn MSFS 2020.... Hope this works for you. Best of Luck.
  2. Quick answer is No on my manually placing anything in the Official Folder, let MSFS do that. I put all my downloads in Folders of their own, some even on another Drive, Unzip them there, and Cut, not Copy, the appropriate Files, or Folder, and Paste them into the Community Folder. You can try to Copy them to the Community Folder, if it will let you... I have had no issues using this method. I use it for Aircraft, as well as for Scenery Add-on's. Good Luck
  3. I do not believe that you have to assign a key for the afterburner in the new F18 challenge and lessons. I note that pushing the throttle to max lights the afterburner and you can hear it also. Throttle back to military power turns the after burner off. You are Correct. Tried it with an Empty Community Folder, works Fine..
  4. I've been flying the MSFS Top Gun F/A-18 Challenge since it came out. Love it, even got a few A's. However, recently the aircraft suddenly became erratic and difficult to control. I looked at many things that I thought could have possibly caused it.. I also love my Helis, most of which require a third party Add-On called AirlandFS. AirlandFS contains the necessary control commands required for most Helis to fly properly.. Great Program, Works Well, and Very Necessary For Helis.... However,,, I discovered that AirlandFS, if left running in the Background, as it normally is, it Will Conflict with the Controls of the F/A-18 Super Hornet in Top Gun. This is true even though it resides outside of the Top Gun activity. No other planes or activities were tested. Simply Close the AirlandFS Program App and your control troubles should disappear! Knowing this earlier would have saved me 5-6 Hours of needless work and flying time.. Hope this cures any Control Problems you may have.
  5. You are Correct.... it was late and I saw the question in Microsoft Flight Simulator"s" and missed that it was a subset which contained FSX and the rest of the Flt SIms. I was talking about MSFS in all of my posts, hope it didn't screw anybody up, although I think it probably still applies in FSX as well. Thanks for catching my error rock ...
  6. It's Free and it flies Great!
  7. Your question indicates that you probably should brush up on the CONTROL OPTIONS section of MSFS. All options, such as AUTOPILOT, and other aircraft Control Options, are available for setting up any aircraft in MSFS. Just go to CONTROL OPTIONS, and you will find all types of AUTOPILOT controls, in addition to other options to fit whatever control mods to the Icon-5, or any other aircraft. Best of Luck.
  8. Update for the 2022 guys, new to helicopters: H135 by Hype Performance Group is extremely close to the H145, except that it is Free, just doesn't have all the bells and whistles. Flies great with a few curve adjustments. You will like either one. The Yoke control for a heli should be fun.... extremely challenging, but fun. I program my throttle (Collective), so it works in a reverse fashion than what we use for fixed wing aircraft, but it functions much more natural that way for heli vertical control.. ie; like the real version. I have virtually all that are available for MSFS and can't wait for another UH-1H "Huey", this one from MILVIZ, and the Mini MD-500 from GOT FRIENDS.
  9. Got it! I missed the point about my friend, the other Multiplayer in our group of two, not having the aircraft I was flying in his community, or msfs standard planes,, therefore he was assigned a plane at random, but from his collection.. Now that makes sense.. Thanks.
  10. The aircraft in Multiplayer continue to look like Airliners, regardless of the type flown. The only one I have seen that reflected the Title of the aircraft flown was, one or two F/A-18's that actually looked like F/A18's. Does Anyone have any light to shine on this problem, now that a Year has passed since the original post and it still exists, at least for me and my flying partners?
  11. MILVIZ FG-1D / F4U Corsair is one of my favorite MSFS Aircraft, so I fly it a lot. I had it perfectly tweaked and it flew Great! Two days ago, I had to download the most recent Upgrade/Fix from Microsoft and things changed.... Now, when Landing, as soon as the Tailwheel touches the runway, it Collapses, and after the aircraft slows to a crawl, the Main Gear also Collapses, Every time... Checked All of the settings, and except for having to Reverse the Throttle since the Update, everything checked out fine. I rebooted and restarted the program, and did all the normal checks, but the gear still collapses upon landing.. Tried several other aircraft, No gear collapsing problem with the few I checked.. Never did that in the 3 months since I bought the MILVIZ Corsair, with probably over 80 Landings. All Crash and Damage settings are set to Off.. Any Ideas? Thanks
  12. Steffen42, It is probably a Personal piece of Crew Art placed there by either the Crew Chief, or the Pilot. I can resolve enough from another image of that same aircraft to feel very comfortable with that diagnosis.. Typically, they are masked off when photographed for official purposes.. There Can be the last 3 digits of the aircraft's number placed on a cockpit door, like "104" in your case, or :103 in the attached photo of it's Sister ship, 118104, in the same Canadian Air Force unit, but it's optional for the unit to do so. Most cockpit doors I have seen, are clean. Otherwise, all I can say is that it is probably not suitable for print anyway.. lol Hope this helps you.. http://www.helis.com/database/modelorg/Canada-CUH-1H-CH-118/
  13. Yes, I agree that it's a bug, but was just doing an Alt check, and managed to get it that high. The F-15 came right out almost exactly on the correct Max Alt number. Thought it was an interesting challenge anyway. (before they fix it...:))
  14. Max MSFS Altitude for F22A Raptor = 113,590 Ft AGL. Anyone gone Higher?
  15. No, I was the only one who changed planes. I used the H-135, since it was a great flyer and could easily keep up with a Cub. I don't believe it's necessary for Both of us to use the Same aircraft, but I can appreciate your point about the H-135 being an add-on. We'll try an Airplane as opposed to the 135 Heli next time.
