  1. I forgot about the twist function for the Thrustmaster. I'll go with that for now, I've read that the Thrustmaster twist function as a habit of failing, but I'll cross that bridge when i get to it. thanks randy --> jfg I looked for sensitivity settings, but they weren't there for the keyboard. Thanks for the response.
  2. After allowing rudder pedals to decorate my front room for the last four years, I have decided that I don't actually use them enough to justify their physical presence, so I unplugged them and put them in the closet, thinking I could assign a keyboard key to control to the rudder. But when I assigned a keyboard key to "rudder right or left", pressing the key just slams the rudder to max extent, which of course puts the plane out of control. Rudder control is necessary when taking off, so how do others here gain flexible control of the rudder without having foot pedals?
  3. Are you sure that all of your MSFS is located on the SSD drive? The stutter you describe sounds just like the delay a seek to a HD would create if it was fetching some data from a HD.
  4. You were able to have a cockpit panel view on one and an outside view on the other? And you were able to manipulate the cockpit controls? I think not.
  5. Back in 2021, Asobo told us that they would support two monitors in early 2022, but I've never heard anything about that (I haven't been keeping up) would anyone be willing to write a blurb here on what the state of the art is currently? The windows second monitor option didn't allow us to keep the instrument panel on a second screen afik.
  6. Wouldn't the more accurate way to describe this be to say that you can't pull as many G's in the sim as in real life? BTW Tiger, your link doesn't work for me. Now it does.
  7. I've been doing a lot of flying in Ukraine, becoming familiar with the terrain in the areas that are in the news lately. At first I used the Eurofighter, but now that I've got a better idea of where I am most of the time, I'm back to the 172 that I usually fly.
  8. I downloaded and installed NVIDA's update and now MSFS won't start, I get a message from MS telling me that I'm offline. Of course I am "online", or I wouldn't be posting this. I have no idea what to do to get MSFS working again - any ideas? It started loading after about 15 minutes. I don't know what that was all about.
  9. It installed OK for me and my Eurofighter flys OK. I took off from Mikolayiv and I'm headed toward Kherson.
  10. The T.1600 works perfectly for me. I have the Ailerons and elevator assigned to axis X and Y as does Cavulife, but I left the rudder unassigned because I have pedals. I bet the OP has assigned Aileron left and right and elevator up and down instead of using the axis.
  11. I'm more interested in the HP unit. But I suppose the bandwith is about the same so if a 1080TI works with one it should work with the other. You have no stuttering or other performance problems? Do you know that the extra 32 gigs were really necessary, that sounds like overkill. (this conversation may have cost me $600!) :)
  12. Thank You. Someday I will buy into VR. Bu not until video card prices plummet. I don't think my 1080ti is up to the job, although it handles a 4K screen just fine.
  13. We are all waiting for the update that will allow multiple screens within FS, that's supposed to arrive sometime in 2022. As it is, we can use multiple windows from Windows, but that doesn't allow for the control panel to be displayed on a separate screen (AFIK). For your configuration question: go to OPTIONS --> Control Options and spend a few hours getting familiar with every aspect of what's there. There is no way around it, you're going to have to get comfortable with that screen and the things it does or you will have constant hassles. There have been many threads here on this subject, you probably should go back and read some of those unless someone with great writing skills pops up now to write the ultimate description. The outside view is separate from the drone; the drone is a powerful tool all by itself but is unnecessary for most FS activities. To see what's available, go to OPTIONS --> Control Options --> (select the keyboard) and look at the menus under "Camera". Have fun!
