  1. I'm currently using FSrealWX and have really enjoyed it. It is payware but you get 30 days free to test.
  2. Thanks to everyone for your awesome comments and suggestions. Lots of food for thought for me and given what I have read will likely just stick with FS9 for now.
  3. Maybe I spoke out of turn then. I figured that FS9 was so old, there would not be addons that are still being produced for this version. that's all.
  4. I'm running an intel® Core™ i5-3340M CPU @ 2.70GHz. Would I have any issues running FSX? I don't have much money put into FS9 right now. Ran it many years when it first came out and then got out of flight simming. Just starting back into simming over the last year. I tend to lean towards realism vs gaming when I sim.
  5. Currently running FS9 on my laptop (Intel® Core™ i5-3340M CPU @ 2.70GHz with 16 Gigs RAM) with an attached monitor. FS9 running with no issues but just wanting more realism. Obviously addons are a bit outdated for FS9. Don't think I can run P3D with my current setup??
  6. Hi there First off, yes I know that these are very old sims but I am not able to upgrade my current computer to be able to run FS2020 (believe me I would love to). I am currently running FS2004 on my machine and it is working fine. Would it be a step up for me in flight models and scenery by installing FSX or should I just stay with FS9 until I can afford to run FS2020? What were some of the differences in FS9 to FSX? Thanks so much for your help and feedback Kevin
  7. Awesome ideas everyone, thanks One question - I didn't realize that you could use the latest version of FSUIPC with FS9. I downloaded an older version because the FSUIPC site said that was the one for FS9? Is that correct?
  8. Hello I'm looking to purchase a narrowbody jet that has a realistic working FMS and realistic flight model. I don't care about liveries, repaints etc. Any help is appreciated Kevin
  9. Appreciate your help. I think I will try re-installing to the root directory as suggested. That sounds very likely what is happening. Kevin
  10. Yes, it is installed under the following directory structure: program files (x86)/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator 9
  11. Yes, I have the most current version downloaded from the NaviGraph site. I just don't know how to update it into my FS9 CRJ FMS system. I figured it would auto load once I started FS9 but it doesn't?
  12. Hello I recently purchase a navaid update subscription service from Navigraph in hopes that I could update my current FMS database for the Wilco CRJ Jets. Unfortunately I have been unable to get the database to upload into the FMS when I boot up FS2004? When I open the FMS in cockpit view the database version is still 2004. Very frustrating as I cannot use current charts since the majority of the intersections are not present in the old database. I did ask the question to Navigraph and so far I have not received a response. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Kevin
  13. Wow, that was such an easy fix and it worked. Thanks so much for your help! I really appreciate it.
  14. That sounds exactly like my issue. I will take a look at the config files. Thank a lot for that!
