Microsoft Flight Simulator August 6th, 2020 Development Update

    The release date keeps getting closer, but Microsoft continues to give us weekly updates on the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. An interesting video presentation is the partnership series introducing Blackshark.ai. There is also news on the SDK and development roadmap which makes it clear there will still be deliverables (additional features) coming after the initial launch date.

    Big Tire Productions Kitfox For MSFS

    Aircraft designer Big Tire Productions has previously designed only for X-Plane but has just announced that their Kitfox will be coming to MSFS, and will be offered free to all who purchased the X-Plane version.

    DC Designs Previews F-14 Tomcat For MSFS

    Developer DC Designs, noted for their military aircraft, have announced that they are working on the Grumman F-14A/D Tomcat for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. It's still early in the design process but they are now able to show some work in progress images.

    FSDreamTeam Previews Chicago O'Hare For MSFS

    Scenery designer FSDreamTeam (FSDT) announces another project they have in the works, O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, one of the world's busiest airports. No details yet, just a set of work in progress screen shots.

    Flyt Simulations Announces MSFS Plans

    Another developer has announced their plans for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. Flyt Simulations plans to deliver their upcoming Frasca Field and all future products to MSFS. Works also continues on Willard Airport.

    Aerosoft Explains MSFS Development Plans

    Mathijs Kok from Aerosoft has offered a lengthy post in their forums in which he explains their development plans for the new MSFS and their relationship with Asobo. Aerosoft developers have actually been working very closely with Asobo on making complex add-ons possible and on shaping the SDK so it will benefit all add-on developers.

    Milviz Previews Their 737 Running In MSFS

    Following on from yesterday's news on what their first projects for MSFS would be, today Milviz offers some work in progress screen shots of their Boeing 737 running in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The images show some of the fantastic lighting effects seen in the new sim.

    Drzewiecki Design Previews First MSFS Scenery

    It looks like Drzewiecki Design is the latest developer to show off previews of their work in the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. Whilst the images contained in the Facebook post only show their Flight Simulator test airport in which to learn new techniques, it is all the same, highly impressive.

    Milviz Previews First MSFS Add-ons

    Like many developers, Milviz is making plans to support the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. Today they have announced not one but three projects currently in the works for MSFS: T-50 Bobcat, 737-200 and 310R.
