• X019 Interview with Asobo Studio

    On Friday 15th November 2019, Asobo Studio, who are developing the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator showcased their platform at X019 in London. This was the first time a stand had been made available to the public, and the team were on hand to take questions. Michael Hayward represented FlightSim.Com and had a chance to interview Martial Bossard, lead developer and co-founder of Asobo.

    Review: Drzewiecki Design - Miami City XP

    Miami City XP is not one of the newer products from Drzewiecki Design but is still a lot of fun for X-Plane pilots who want explore that area. The scenery emphasis is on the city and region itself, with only "lite" versions of the three included airports. Reviewer Paul Mort found the area covered impressive and generally liked the ortho imagery but wished for full featured airports.

    Review: Aerosoft - FSDG Rhodes

    The island of Rhodos - Island of Knights makes a great flying destination. Reviewer MrYorkiesWorld has been there many times and now takes a look at the version for FSX and Prepar3D published by Aerosoft. In FSDG Rhodes you'll find the island's two airports in great detail, along with the rest of the island. "A big win" was the review verdict.

    Review: xVision for X-Plane 11

With the right tools, shaders, colors and sharpness can be changed, and xVision is a tool that does a fine job.     Review: Taburet - Telluride For X-Plane 11

    Taburet offers a wide range of low-cost scenery add-ons for X-Plane. In this review, Patrick Putlend looks at his scenery of the Telluride region in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. While the airport itself is not changed, the town and region get very accurate mesh, which is so important in a mountain region like this, plus ortho, vegetation and more. While not perfect, the reviewer found it a really fun place to fly into.

    AFS Design - Airport & City v3 for P3D v4

    New from AFS-Design for Prepar3D v4 is Airport & City. It contains a comprehensive package of new textures for autogenous building, such as shelters or skyscrapers. It also includes improved textures for airports, plants and night lighting, giving all scenery a more realistic look while also improving frame rates.

    Eaglesoft Previews Citation X

    Eaglesoft has posted a large photo gallery of their upcoming CXG4 aircraft (Extreme Generation Four Corporate Aviation Series - Citation X). The aircraft is currently under development for Prepar3D v4 and will also support the new Microsoft Flight Simulator when it becomes available next year.

    Microsoft Flight Simulator - November 21 Update

    The news about Microsoft Flight Simulator is the release of the third video on their discovery series. "Aerodynamics" is a look at the engine that drives flight in this new simulator. Also announced is progress on the SDK, indicating that a good set of tools will be available to outside developers.

    Mont Blanc Group Released

    The latest 3D mountain marvel by Frank Dainese and Fabio Bellini is now available for X-Plane 11. Mont Blanc, located between France and Italy, is the highest mountain in Europe. The scenery covers over 900 sq km with interesting features like the Skyway, mountain shelters, area airports and heliports and more.
