    There are plenty of older FSX/P3D titles that are still worth your attention. In this review, Felicity Smith takes a look at Conington Airfield from Just Flight. Just Flight obviously has a connection with this airport too, as a number of aircraft they have modeled are based here. If you enjoy a quiet country airfield with lots of detail, this may be just the place for you too.

    Virushawk

    While we're stuck at home due to the coronavirus, A2A Simulations has been generous enough to offer one of their great Accu-sim aircraft, the P-40 Warhawk, for free. Author Ian Radcliffe, while a big A2A fan, had never tried this plane before but grabbed it now and felt obligated to give A2A a "thank you".

    Review: Turbulent Designs TerraFlora XP

    TerraFlora, which is available from Turbulent Design for X-Plane, FSX and Prepar3D, is one of those products that improves the look of the entire world. In this case, it's trees that get improved, making scenery more accurate in color and variety. Reviewer Michael Hayward tries the X-Plane version and was quite impressed with the results.

    Review: Aerosoft - Geneva Professional

    Geneva Professional from Aerosoft lets Prepar3D v4 pilots fly into Switzerland's second busiest airport, located close to the towering Alps. Reviewer Alex Dickinson found it to be highly accurate and well modeled, with smooth frame rates and fun to fly into.

    Review: Orbx Orcas Island

    Orcas Island was one of the earliest Orbx sceneries, and the area itself is one of the favorites of reviewer Shawn Weigelt. The original version, though, was for Microsoft Flight Simulator and Shawn wanted a version for X-Plane. Well, that is now available and Shawn was very pleased to find that is lives up to expectations.

    Review: Canada4XPlane - CYQB Quebec City Int'l

    The first flight simulator scenery release from new developer Canada4XPlane is a winner, says reviewer Jennifer Kimball. The scenery is of CYQB - Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport, the main airport in that region of Canada. The scenery offers excellent detail, beautiful night ambiance and an overall realistic feel that makes is a great place to start exploring Canada.

  • X-Plane 11.50 Beta 1 Released

    Laminar Research has announced that X-Plane 11.50 Beta 1 is now live on the Laminar servers, and should be available on Steam later today. They've also released a video demonstrating how to set the rendering options in this new version.

    Bravo Zulu - Firefly For FSX/P3D Updated

    Developer Bravo Zulu announces an update to their Firefly. Both the FSX and the Prepar3D version have been updated to include TacPack functionality. This adds working weapons to the plane, including guns, bombs and rockets that interact with the flightsim world. The update also includes some minor fixes to the aircraft.

    Orbx - Boulder City

    Orbx announces a new Prepar3D v4 scenery project from developer Ken Hall: Boulder City Municipal Airport. Located just south of Las Vegas, Ken has spent two years meticulously crafting the airport in fine detail. All primary features are modeled in full PBR glory, with ground textures hand-drawn and dozens of unique vegetation types created solely for this project.

    PMDG - A Few Updates - But Still No Fooling About

    PMDG has released some news on their doings. Things are progressing on updates for their entire 747 product line. Once that is stable, current thinking is to have an update for NGXu users. They are also currently running a sale on all FSX and Prepar3D Longhaulers.

    France VFR Releases LFRN Rennes Bretagne

    LFRN - Rennes Bretagne for P3Dv4 from France VFR models the airport of Rennes Bretagne (Dpt35) in an extremely detailed way, including high definition building and ground textures as well as the corresponding night textures. The stage can be used independently or in addition to Bretagne VFR Vol. 2.

    Virtual United States Space Program Returns

    After being closed for over 14 years, the Virtual United States Space Program (VUSSP), has set a date for its re-launch.
