    Review: Sim Wings Mega Airport London Heathrow Pro

    Over the past few years Sim Wings has created "professional" versions of some of the world's great airports. In this review, MrYorkiesWorld looks at their Mega Airport London Heathrow Professional for Prepar3D v4. He highly recommends it, finding its list of features impressive and the only downside that it requires a good computer system to run to its full capabilities.

    On An Older System - Aerofly FS 2

    Would you be surprised to find one of the latest sims actually runs well on older systems? Author Kenneth J. Kerr found that was just the case with Aerofly FS 2. While perhaps not considered in the flightsim mainstream, and lacking some features some might consider important, it makes up for this in other ways, offering a very enjoyable flying experience, even on an older system.

    Review: vFlyteAir Cessna 150 Commuter

    One of the most popular training planes, the Cessna 150 Commuter gets brought to X-Plane thanks to vFlyteAir Simulations. Our reviewer Jennifer Kimball has flight time in real C150's and was impressed with the accuracy of this flight simulator version. She termed it a great buy and was pleased by the fun and functionality of the plane.

    Review: Orbx Leeds Bradford Airport

    Orbx design efforts lately have produced a lot of scenery for Great Britain, and Leeds Bradford Airport for X-Plane is just one example.     Review: Virtavia - C-17A Globemaster III

    Prepar3D pilots who enjoy flying truly large aircraft will enjoy the C-17A Globemaster III from Virtavia. Being a military plane, it also has performance unlike an airliner which makes for some interesting flying. Reviewer Ray Andersen found that he liked the aircraft very much, with high quality textures, an accurate model and an abundance of details.

    Review: KGEG Spokane International Airport Freeware

    There's so much good freeware out there that we don't review nearly enough of it, but today's review by Andy Barter takes a look at a nice Prepar3D v4 scenery of KGEG Spokane International Airport by Brett Delana. Brett has been a long-time creator of scenery, back to the FS2004 days. This scenery brings KGEG to life with an accurate layout and custom designed buildings.

    The Float Flights Of DC3 Airways

    Unlike computer games, flight simulators do not have a set path or goal so users have to figure out for themselves what to do with their sims. There are many answers to this, such as joining a virtual airline and in this presentation Sherman Kaplan presents a set of float plane flights the he and friends at DC3 Airways have developed. If you like wilderness flying and landing on water this just may be for you.

    Rimco KTLH - Tallahassee International Airport Released

    Now available for X-Plane is Rimco KTLH - Tallahassee International Airport. This rendition of Tallahassee airport captures the time when the existing airport infrastructure was updated; for instance, the runways were elongated. There is a field near the beginning of runway 36, which is still a construction site and thus makes the approach challenging.

    Pacific Islands Simulation Announces Salt Lake City Upgrade

    Pacific Islands Simulation has announced they are working on two new US international airports and are overhauling their current Salt Lake City KSLC scenery. The real world KSLC is undergoing major construction and the new scenery will reflect the updated airport. In addition, the new Microsoft Flight Simulator will be a target platform for this scenery.

    FSDG Casablanca Airport Announced

    With no supporting details, Flight Sim Development Group (FSDG) has announced that Casablanca Airport in Morocco is "coming soon". FSDG has created a number of African airports so this will be a good addition to their offerings.

    Infinite Flight Project Metal

    The Infinite Flight design team announces a project to update the core codebase of their iOS and Android based flight simulator. As older software is deprecated, it's necessary to move to new graphic APIs, Metal on iOS and Vulkan on Android. This will require an extensive amount of work but ultimate will allow for new and improved features for the sim.

    VSKYLABS Robinson R66/R44/R22 News Flash

    VSKYLABS continues to post news about their Robinson helicopter development for X-Plane. The big R66 will be released first and today they've released a new video showing it in action. They promise this to be the most comprehensive VSKYLABS project to date. Project development is also progressing on the smaller R22 and R44 models.
