• Review: Just Flight - PA28-181 Archer TX/LX

    The Piper Cherokee family of GA aircraft have been popular with pilots for years. Just Flight now offers the latest variant, the Archer TX/LX for X-Plane 11 and reviewer Jennifer Kimball wanted to give it a try. Jennifer is a real world pilot with lots of time in Cherokees and was impressed with the accuracy of the visual model as well as its flight characteristics.

    Review: Orbx EGPH Edinburgh Airport

    Review: Orbx Tacoma Narrows

    Reviewer Shawn Weigelt had been waiting for KTIW Tacoma Narrows airport for years, and finally Orbx has provided it for X-Plane. He lives in the same town as KTIW and is very familiar with the airport, so was glad to find that the Orbx version is absolutely beautiful and incredibly realistic.

    On An Older System - Aerofly FS 2

    Would you be surprised to find one of the latest sims actually runs well on older systems? Author Kenneth J. Kerr found that was just the case with Aerofly FS 2. While perhaps not considered in the flightsim mainstream, and lacking some features some might consider important, it makes up for this in other ways, offering a very enjoyable flying experience, even on an older system.

    Laminar Research X-Plane Move To Vulkan Update

    After what has seemed like an eternity, Ben Supnik over at X-Plane, has posted an update on their move to Vulkan. A Vulkan/Metal version of X-Plane has been in private test with third party developers, including a bridge to connect OpenGL-based plug-ins.
