• Review: FlyMex - Mexico City VFR Landmarks

    Mexico City is one of the top ten most populated cities in the world and deserves a good look in MSFS 2020. Thanks to developer FlyMex Simulations and their scenery package Mexico City VFR Landmarks flying over this area now gives Microsoft Flight Simulator users lots of interesting and realistic buildings to see, even including things like the pyramids at Teotihucan. Reviewer Diego Vega explores the city with words and a video and shows you what he found.

    CJ4 Working Title Mod - VNAV and ILS Approach

    In this video, video team member thecorporatepilotdad takes a look at the Working Title CJ4 Mod for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This mod takes the default MSFS 2020 CJ4 bizjet and makes it much more realistic. The video is part review and part tutorial, showing how to do a VNAV and ILS approach. The author flies a plane using the same avionics in real life and was impressed with the realism found here.

    Aerosoft turns to a scenic series of German coastal islands with its X-Plane 11 scenery title German Islands 1 East Frisia. The islands have small GA airports and gliding schools, giving lots of places to last while exploring the coastal region.   • New Features Of FS Navigation Map MSFS Plugin

    The FS Navigation Map Android app for MSFS 2020 has been updated. With the app the user can see a map of where they are flying, with airports, navaids, waypoints and other relevant information like radio frequencies, ILS headings and more. In the update, the flight plan can now be sent to the app, like with the FSX version.

    IRIS Simulations Shows Off F/A-18C Hornet For MSFS

    IRIS Simulations has revealed that their next project for Microsoft Flight Simulator will be the F/A-18C Hornet. It's still early in development and the screen shots only show the interior. It's reported to be one of four fast movers planned for development over the next 24 months.

    Just Flight Update on A300 For Prepar3D

    Today Just Flight has a quick A300 for Prepar3D update to share. They have recently fitted some (relatively) new technology to their classic A300B4. Both pilots are now equipped with a weather radar (compatible with Active Sky), TCAS and FMS for modern-day operations across the globe. A traditional VSI and INS navigation are still available for the classic airliner purists.

    Just Flight Has New Preview Images of PA-28R Arrow

    Just to show a bit more of what's possible in MSFS 2020, Just Flight has released some new shots of the PA-28R Arrow III following the reveal last week. These are taken at max resolution and demonstrate the pin-sharp quality. The interior shows a lot of wear and some old avionics, as would be typical of a plane of this vintage.

    Historic Airlines Group Has 747 Cargo

    Two announcements from Historic Airlines Group. The first is that they now have 747 freighters carrying cargo as part of their fleet, from a variety of carriers. Second is that they have added USPS cargo operations, using Ryan International's fleet of 727-100F's. If you are looking to do some classic cargo flying, HAG knows cargo.

The first version of the "Traffic" series came out 20 years ago and now the latest has been brought to FSX/Prepar3D users.     UK2000 Updates Luton Airport For MSFS

    Scenery designer UK2000 announces that their Luton2020 HD scenery for MSFS 2020 has been updated to v1.05. This version removes the AFD approach data which was causing crashes at startup for some users. In addition, the UK2000 common library is now part of the product.

    Orbx Releases EG41 Fishburn As Freeware For X-Plane 11

    Orbx has announced that scenery of EG41 Fishburn Airfield is now available for X-Plane 11 as freeware. This is a small grass strip in County Durham, opened in 1995, and named "airfield of the year" by Flyer magazine in 2004. Created by Stefan Schroen and Sandro De Sarro who developed EG20 Clench Common.

    Announcing aviaFlightMonitor

    aviaFlightMonitor for FSX/P3D will monitor and analyze many of the flight parameters that airlines use in their Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) and Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) programs. These programs are used to gain operational insight into how well flight crews are performing and flying approaches. It's a key element of safe airline operations.
