• Review: MSX Creations - Katoomba Airport For MSFS 2020

    Flight Simualtor lets you visit remote places you might never get to in the real world. Katoomba Airport (YKAT) in New South Wales, Australia is one of these places, but the scenery from MSX Creations makes it an interesting and enjoyable place to visit in MSFS 2020. Reviewer Felicity Smith found it to be a great value if you enjoy small and challenging airports.

    Review: Taimodels - Keflavik Int'l Airport For X-Plane

    Iceland has some beautiful places to visit and starting from its main airport is ideal. Taimodels offers Keflavik International Airport (BIKF) for X-Plane 11 and reviewer Paul Mort takes a look. He was impressed by the complex terminal and little included details like the Jet Egg sculpture but did find room for improvement in some of the textures and other areas.

    Review: Aerosoft Airport Mykonos MSFS

    Airport Mykonos makes a great destination for a warm Greek holiday in MSFS 2020. Reviewer MrYorkiesWorld takes a look at this Aerosoft add-on and finds it a good rendition of the airport with the bonus of including several local heliports and other surrounding areas. He found it very immersive with accurate runways, taxiways and gates and good looking no matter the time of day.

    Review: Aerosoft - Mega Airport Ben Gurion P3D

    If you're interested in flying to Israel's main airport in P3D, then Mega Airport Ben Gurion (LLGB) from Aerosoft is your only option. Reviewer Alex Dickinson found the experience to be enjoyable and interesting for the most part, but did have issues with certain areas as things like texture quality seemed to vary.

    Review: Just Flight - PA-28R Arrow/Turbo Arrow Bundle

    The Piper Cherokee family is one of the mainstays of general aviation, so it's nice to see Just Flight bringing them to the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. They now offer the PA-28R Arrow III and the PA-28RT Turbo Arrow III and IV for MSFS 2020. Reviewer Michael Hayward tries all of them and finds them to be a fantastic set of aircraft, perhaps the best GA planes available for MSFS 2020 right now.

    MSFS - Reno Air Races Trailer

    The Microsoft Flight Simulator has been working closely with the Reno Air Racing Association to develop authentic version of famous racing aircraft. The Reno Air Races: Expansion Pack will include forty liveries of four different aircraft types to be used in the online multiplayer racing experience. A new video trailer shows all forty airplanes.

    MSFS 2020 - Announcing the Game of the Year Edition

    Coming in November is the Microsoft Flight Simulator Game of the Year Edition, the next upgrade to MSFS 2020. It will include five new aircraft and eight additional hand-crafted airports, plus new missions, tutorials, features, photogrammetry cities and content updates. Like all past upgrades this is free to existing owners.

    A Guide to Flight Simulator: Extended Edition v1.30 Released

    SoFly announces a new update to their A Guide to Flight Simulator: Extended Edition for MSFS 2020. The new v1.30 is expanded to 430 pages and includes coverage of the recent Sim Update 6 and a tutorial for the recently released Junker JU-52. Also new is an in-sim toolbar utility that lets users access the guide from directly within the simulator, with no need for an external reader.

    FlightBeam Studios NZAA MSFS On Approach

    FlightBeam Studios has announced that their scenery for NZAA Auckland Airport is nearing completion, with the first small beta test starting this week. Designed as a native MSFS 2020 scenery, it will include a completely custom approach lighting system, custom taxiway lights, detailed PBR textures on every object and building plus 3D characters in various places.
