    Interview With Alan Ashforth

    If you're a flightsimmer you surely enjoy having new planes to fly, and Alan Ashforth, the subject of our interview, is one of the people who creates them. He specializes in updating past models and adding new features so they are compatible with X-Plane 11. He also creates new models for X-Plane, usually as part of a team.

    Review: Aerosoft - FSDG - Rhodes MSFS

    The island of Rhodes is a colorful destination with lots of history. Thanks to the designers at FSDG the island's Diagoras International Airport has been beautifully rendered and includes lots of little details. Both the buildings and the runways are well textured. The only drawback is that scenery added to other parts of the island are of lower quality, reports reviewer Joshua Moore.

    Review: FSDG - Cape Town Int'l For MSFS 2020

    FilbertFlies takes a look at Cape Town International Airport (FACT) as created for MSFS 2020 by FSDG and published by Aerosoft. He found some impressive lighting and building interiors, but less impressive textures in many locations. His video will give you plenty of opportunity to judge for yourself if it's something you'd wish to add to your collection.

    Microsoft Announces Flightsim Hardware Accessories For Xbox

    Tailstrike Designs Previews Orio al Serio Airport MSFS

    LIME is coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Thanks to Tailstrike Design, MSFS 2020 pilots will soon have a new Italian destination at Oiro al Serio Airport in Milan. Down the road it will also be available for X-Plane and Prepar3D.

    Orbx Releases Mumbai Landmarks Pack For MSFS

    Orbx announces the release in the next of their landmarks series for MSFS: The Gateway To India - Landmarks Mumbai. It includes sixteen high-detail models that range from Victorian Gothic to ultramodern styles, including Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Gateway of India, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Omkar 1973 and Imperial Towers, as well as the impressive cable-stayed spans of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.

    MSFS July 22nd, 2021 Development Update

    The big news from the Microsoft Flight Simulator team this week is that the long awaited Xbox Series X|S version will be available in only a few days. It will be interesting to see how well received a sim of this type is on a gaming platform. There is also other news about SDK updates and developments in other areas.

    FSExpo Updates Exhibitors List

    Even though it's still months away, FlightSimExpo 2020 has already confirmed a large list of exhibitors and sponsors. The list includes many of the biggest names in flight simulator hardware, software and simulation platform development. Turtle Beach and FlightFactor are among ten new sponsors just announced in today's press release.

    Aerosoft - Airport Mykonos for MSFS

    The latest airport release from Aerosoft for MSFS 2020 is Mykonos Airport on the Greek island of Mykonos. The scenery, designed by 29Palms, offers features such as a sloped runway, detailed 3D objects and buildings, animated apron vehicles and much more.

    VSKYLABS Previews Phoenix Air U-15 Project XP

    The VSKYLABS Phoenix Air U-15 Project for X-Plane by Laminar Research is coming soon. Initially released in 2017, it is going through a complete overhaul, practically a complete remake which brings it to fall in line with the latest VSKYLABS 2021 standards. Release of new v6.0 is expected later this month.

    Realworld Scenery - St. Louis Lambert KSTL for MSFS

    Realworld Scenery announces the release of St. Louis Lambert KSTL scenery for MSFS 2020. Commonly referred to as Lambert Field, this is the largest airport in Missouri. The scenery features an accurate model of the airport with PBR textures on both buildings and ground. It also includes HDR night lighting, ground clutter and more.

    Just Flight Releases PA-28-161 Warrior II For MSFS

    Just Flight announces that their new VR-ready Warrior II for MSFS 2020 has been released. It comes in eight paint schemes and has been developed using the latest MSFS standards, with 4096 x 4096 textures and PBR materials, an authentic set of Wwise custom sounds, down-to-the-rivet detailing and ground services support.
