X-Plane 11.50+ Curtiss P-40E-1-CU/P-40K-1-CU Warhawk 1.0.3. The Curtiss P-40 has become one of the most famous and used aircraft of the Second World War. Between 1941 and 1944 he also played a key role in many operational theaters from North Africa to Italy, from China to the South Pacific. Characterized by a very robust and reliable aerodynamic structure, the Curtiss P40 was equipped with an Allison V-12 engine with a single stage mechanical supercharger, capable of delivering more than 1,150 HP up to 16,000 ft. It had a service ceiling of over 28,000 ft but above 20,000 ft it was inferior in climbing ability to the Bf 109 and Fw 190, however it could out turn and out dive both. Below 15,000 ft and below 250 mph it out-performs both a Bf-109 and a P-51. It served as air superiority fighter and fighter bomber. Used by U.S. fighter squadrons and, as Kittyhawk, by Commonwealth Air Forces, the P-40E was heavily armed with six 50-cal. M2 Browning machine guns installed in the wings. Furthermore, thanks to its under wings hardpoints, able to carry nearly 500 lbs. of bombs, it for close air support. Four aircraft are represented: 1) Curtiss P-40K-1-CU "Yellow 55" typical P-40 in an advanced training squadron, USA, 1943. 2) Curtiss P-40K-1-CU (serial number 42-45979) "Pistoff" 49th Fighter Group (FG) ("Fighting 49ers"), 7th Pursuit Squadron (PS) United States Army Air Force (USAAF), Dododura, Buna, New Guinea, 1943, flown by Lt. Donald H. Lee, Jr. 3) Curtiss P-40E (serial number unknown but listed as 11456) "White 7" 29th Fighter Group (FG), United States Army Air Force (USAAF), China, September 1942. Flown by Lt. Col. Robert Scott, Commanding Officer (CO) 29th FG. He called the fighter "Old Exterminator" but that was never painted on the aircraft. Col. Scott is the author of "God Is My Co-Pilot". Col. Scott is credited with 10 kills in P-40s. It was standard practice in the CBI that the serial numbers were painted out. 4) Curtiss P-40K-1-CU (serial number 42-46040) "White 13", (V for Victory) 57th Fighter Group (FG) (First in the Blue), 64th Fighter Squadron (Black Scorpions), Tunisia, May 1943. Capt. R. J. "Jay" Overcash. Capt. Overcash, achieved five victories including two in a day while on an escort mission against the Africa Korps in May 1943. X-Plane 11.50+ Henschel HS-126 1.0. The Henschel Hs 126 was a German two-seat reconnaissance and observation aircraft of World War II that was derived from the Henschel Hs 122. The pilot was seated in a protected cockpit under the parasol wing and the gunner in an open rear cockpit. The prototype aircraft frame was that of a Hs 122A fitted with a Junkers engine. The Hs 126 was well received for its good short takeoff and low-speed characteristics which were needed at the time. It was put into service for a few years, but was soon superseded by the general-purpose, STOL Fieseler Fi 156 Storch and the medium-range Focke-Wulf Fw 189 "flying eye". This aircraft is distributed as freeware. Do not modify, redistribute, or otherwise reproduce any of it without prior permission. Author J. K. (A-Pilot).

X-Plane 11.40+ Bell P-39 Airacobra 1.0. Some time ago Rich Robinson made a very nice Bell P39 Airacobra using Baranger's very nice GPL blender creations: P39_RR.ZIP. I downloaded this aircraft in 2018, and I recently flew it again. I had bought the fantastic Pacific Islands made by Khamsin and decided I needed some extra aircraft to use it. So I started making the (higher res) US liveries for the Airacobra, and after I found out there were Russian versions too I made a whole bunch of liveries, including a new version for the RAF. I made some adjustments in the cockpit panel and the engine. Please notice: Since I am more into liveries I hope you are aware that this is a freeware product. I give full credit to the work of Rich Robinson (who gave me permission to post this new version) and Baranger. By Henk de Bruin.

FSX Blohm & Voss Ha-139 V1 And V2 Mail-Carrier Floatplane Upgrade. FSX/Acceleration Blohm & Voss Ha-139 V1 and V2 float planes from 1937. This is the second and final upgrade of my very first 3D-model I've built in 2014. The new models are completely reworked and has now glossy bare metal textures (no glossy in P3D!) and a very detailed VC with an interior which is regarding to old photographs as realistic as possible. Also the seats for the navigator, engineer and radio operator are represented. The Ha139 was one of the biggest float planes ever built. It was a German catapult launched mail-carrier plane, equipped with four Diesel Engines. Only three planes were buildt: V1 "Nordwind", V2 "Nordmeer" and V3 "Nordstern". The planes were used to shorten the time for transatlantic cross overs. Therefore they were carried on a tender vessel and when within proper range (max. 5000 km) they were catapulted for take offs. A very special animation is included: A supply boat is approaching and stopping at the float. Eleven FSX camera views let you watch the animations or let visit you the working areas for the crew. FSDS model and 2D panel by Erwin Welker.

X-Plane 11.50+ Grumman J2F Duck 1.0. The Grumman J2F Duck (company designation G-15) is an American single-engine amphibious biplane. It was used by each major branch of the U.S. armed forces from the mid-1930s until just after World War II, primarily for utility and air-sea rescue duties. Originally made by Philippe Gastebois for X-Plane 9.7, pilots by Bertrand Augras and exhaust by Glockenshpeil. There is no 3D cockpit, but a very nice 2D solution (alt W). Before you start typing sad feelings about this you can always contribute in ongoing projects like these. Be positive and help to make and improve freeware. By Henk de Bruin.

X-Plane 10 Aerowork Douglas C-47 Dakota 3.2. The Douglas C47 is a twin-engined low wing transport aircraft, powered by Twin Wasp R1830-90C engines. Between 1935 and 1947 Douglas built a total of 10,654 of the type and over 80 years later there are still almost 1,000 in flying condition. This magnificent aircraft was originally designed by Manfred Jahn, Jan Visser and Team and is being flown by hundreds of happy users. At the end of July, Aeroworx obtained the permission to port this aircraft to X-Plane. As members of the South African Airways Museum Society, we have direct access to their C-47 and also a few other DC-3/C-47's. Getting good photographs is no problem, the crews flying and maintaining these aircraft are also extremely helpful in providing us with documentation, advice, etc. This aircraft features a fully 3D vintage virtual cockpit, with dozens of mouse click-able animations. The Sperry is the primary autopilot, but for the more "modern" guys, a G530 is available as a pop-up. This is a public beta version, PLEASE read the "Release Notes" attached to the download. By Aeroworx (Johan van Wyk and Fred Stegmann).
