X-Plane 11 Scenery--PALJ Port Alsworth 1.2. Port Alsworth, Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska (AK), USA. Port Alsworth is a small settlement in the Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, near the mouth of the Tanalian River, founded by a missionary bush pilot. The settlement has a couple of lodges and B&Bs, the Tanalian School, the national park field headquarters and visitor center and more. This is a great place for fishing trips and enjoying the local wilderness in general. As the Port Alsworth airstrips have a gravel surface, soft field landing and take-off techniques are highly recommended. Unless you operate on the floatplane base, of course. The X-Plane gravel surface is a bit rough and sticky, so keep that in mind while on the ground. Also, Port Alsworth is flattened since default mesh resolution is not nice to this airfield. The scenery pack also includes a few other simple representations of backcountry strips around Lake Clark, including the Keyes Point flight community.
