    MSFS Sim Update 10 Delayed

August 18, is the two-year anniversary of our release on PC, and what a busy day it was! Earlier this morning, we launched the third plane in our series of Famous Flyers, the v-tail Beechcraft Bonanza V35. We also hosted another of our Dev Q&A sessions with Jorg, Seb, and Martial. If you missed it, you can watch the video here (Twitch only for now, YouTube version coming tomorrow). One highlight of the livestream was the reveal of the next World Update: Canada!

    [Update: Youtube now available:]

Finally, Jorg announced that we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of Sim Update 10 for approximately two more weeks. This will give the developers additional time to resolve some issues reported by our community beta testers, especially concerning PC performance.

Thanks to you, all our players, for making the last two years so special for the flight sim community. We look forward to sharing more aviation adventures with you for many years to come!

New release. Do you think they fixed the most annoying problem of having no flight surface control when the computer's cursor is located outside the main window? And how about the time-of-day issue causing bush flights to force landings at night at airstrips with no lighting?

They didn't break anything. They discovered a performance degradation with Nvidia RTX series GPUs related to DX12 which this update comprises. It's an Nvidia problem and both teams are working together to fix it (nothing was found wrong with AMD video cards with the update). You'll find more information on the official MSFS website forums. I'm just glad they found it BEFORE the permanent mandated update.

C'mon, are we real pilots? or do we start crying again. With many millions of individual pc setups it must be hardly impossible to satisfy every individual MSFS user. And then there are those who want to 'fly under the bridges....' and expect MSFS to deliver the perfect scenery for that too. Maybe better buy a Disney Arcade then...... My MSFS is far from perfect on my medium system but the visuals make me happy and keep the faith in it, if I want LNAV I switch to my FSX Gold. 5 5600X GTX1050TI 2x16GB kb mouse only

You paid for MSFS, so why should you have to go to trusty FSX for working LNAV? Perfectly reasonable to expect it to work in the new sim 2 years after its release, isn't it? Faith is great if it keeps you happy but being disappointed in a software product because it lacks expected functions, that's not crying. Major MSFS problems reported here over the past 2 years go way past blame on individual pc rigs, so that's just a stretch too far. Sell now, patch later MSFS doesn't appeal to those who don't share your "faith".

LNAV works fine for me in MSFS.

I've not experienced any major problems with MSFS. Nor is it being patched. These are planned development updates. It wasn't sold as a finished product.

You may not want to buy MSFS but there's no call to ridicule others who don't share your scepticism.

Not seeing any raised hands, just some customers and some cynics.

I use LNAV regularly. Sounds like interference between the cognitive processor and the flight control actuator.

For one that claims to hate MSFS, you sure seem to spend a lot of time on threads pertaining to it while contributing nothing of value.

Your point has been made about 23 times over now and we all got your memo - repeatedly. Kindly pick up your FSX and X-Plane bat and ball and go home. You aren't going to convince anyone otherwise who are happy with MSFS to join your misery for whatever reason. They aren't going to believe their lying eyes you tell them that are lying to them. What, you really thought your incessant trolling was going to sway opinions to your way of "thinking" or something?
