DC Designs Concorde For MSFS 2020 Returns To The Air

    She's back.

After tremendous work by CodenameJack, and Concorde users "LameLefty" and "RESETXPDR" on the Microsoft forums, all of the engine and fuel issues have been diagnosed and fixed. The updates will be sent to Just Flight and the Marketplace today to ensure Concorde gets back into the skies as quickly as possible for all owners.

I should also add that Jorg Neumann at Microsoft has been hugely helpful in talking over what went wrong. We were able to find a way to improve the communication between Asobo Studios and third-party developers prior to Sim Update releases, so that all developers know more about what has actually been changed within the sim *before* the final update rolls out. The plan is that with a detailed Changelog in advance of Sim Update releases (but while still in beta), devs can rapidly locate and diagnose issues and prepare their updates with more accuracy, instead of wondering what's a new sim-bug and what's a genuine fix or change each time the updates roll out. This idea is a WIP, as it would require Asobo to lock down their code earlier to give developers more time to make changes, but Jorg liked the idea and hopefully it will become a thing in the future.

Concorde's update should reach users today or tomorrow, depending on where you purchased Concorde.

Well as we approach the two year anniversary of retail release this coming August, I guess it's better late than never. We all knew that communication channel was broken. No telling how many lost sales were because of people like me NOT wanting to buy aftermarket payware (aircraft or scenery) between 2021-2022 due to every update breaking whatever they bought.

See? Asobo in it just for the money. They lost communication with Microsoft. Sad they've gotten to be like this. If you ask me, the sim wasn't even releasable when they released it.

I hope they get better because its going to be a LOOOONG 10 years until they get everything PERFECT with it, and that's even an "If they can get everything perfect with it."

One thing that gets me is that anyone who goes to business school in college learns early on through course requirements that communication between different verticals or channels within the organization or venture is crucial to everyone's success. If something is broken, you figure out why. Early on Asobo just pointed fingers at developers not doing their diligent work after every update breaking their work, and obviously Micro$oft wasn't overseeing a thing. At least M$ acknowledged the root cause and got someone in charge of correcting the breakdown (which tells me the Asobo team is led by programmers and not business heads). The first course of correction is recognizing you have a problem to begin with. It "only" took 2 years in this example.
