    Sim Update 7 Breaks A32NX

We have identified issues with Sim Update 7 and the A32NX with relation to flight planning and DX12.

We recommend trying our experimental version temporarily and remain with DX11 when flying our aircraft.

Please see our reported issues page for more information.

I had an absolute gutfull of MSFS and the constant updates fixing a few things and breaking others. I was not going to spend my time on goggle trying to find out how to fix what ASSOBO stuff up..Yes ASS. I am not alone in getting a refund and getting rid of this useless garbage. It is only high quality eye candy for ground textures. the flight models are pathetic, constant huge updates, constant problems... I don't miss it one bit. I will stick to my Xplane11 and P3DV4. At least they work reliably.

oh dear the MSFS piffle valve has blown again. I would not say that MSFS is useless garbage, though each to their own. For me whilst the updates are some times frustrating and can leave one with the feeling that the sim appears to be taking one step forward and two steps back, I do find my self drawn to its shear beauty. I can not say about P£D as I dropped that many years ago over licence issue in that I fly flight simulations for entertainment and not learning but am an avid X Plane user. There are times when laminar introduce and implement updates to the X Plane platform and these too will often brake things. (With the advent of X plane 12 things will no doubt break) So this breaking of things after updates is not unique to MSFS alone.
As for the flight model, whilst it is not yet quite as good as that found within X Plane, the flight model is a sight better than that featured in FSX. Over two years ago during September 2019 Assobo /Microsoft if I recall correctly did say in response to questions form the community that " we are in this for the long run and it will take time to get the platform right." It is a shame that you have asked for a refund and no longer wish to support and invest in the platform. Whilst it is your right to ask for such I have elected to keep MSFS in the hanger. Despite the frustration of the updates, which when you really look at it are only short lived when products are fixed by those developers that care to do so. When I fly MSFS or the other platforms for me they all deliver quite simply immense enjoyment despite the shortfalls of continued development.

If my car or my bank or my motorcycle was broken and lacking in function as frequently as MSFS, I would get rid of them and go somewhere else.

Well, cars and banks (much of the time, at least) and even motorcycles have been around a lot longer than computers, so that may explain at least a bit of the disparity in reliability. And it is we who put up with things, including updates of such complexity that it takes a computer science major (or the watching of several YouTube videos, which may be the academic equivalent these days!) to actually complete the update successfully. If we did not put up with this, it is possible that the manufacturers would pay more attention to stability and ease of use! Maybe we do indeed need more people asking for refunds. Not me, though. With 3 different sims on my computer, and two more on disks in my drawer, there is always one that is reliable at any given moment!

I had made it through updates 1-6 without much difficulty, and indeed I was reading posts like these with a feeling of thanksgiving; but the Karma overhang has collapsed with number 7, and it has already taken a 1.5 hour session with the support section of my computer maker to get to a point where there is light at the end of the tunnel...

      But hope springs eternal!

I am a grown adult with a mortgage, I don't have all day to spend fixing and downloading updates. I flew MSFS2020 for a few months when it came out and then threw it in the recycle bin. It is truly the worst failure to date for flight simulation. What a shame!

I think from my experience anyway, it comes down to sheer frustration and vapourised expectations when it comes to MSFS updates.... So I can fully sympathize with "gt401964" I almost went the same route buying Xplane11... What stopped me is that when the sim works, and it has been relatively stable for months it's awesome even more so in VR.. The eye candy beats all the other sims hands down imo, and for the flight models, well you've always had to buy pro models like PMDG and developers of the same professional standards if you expect more realism.. and that can be very frustrating to some of us with some of the sim's stock planes.... I mainly fly the TBM and the 747-800 and found them very flyable.. The irony in this post whilst writing this I'm reinstalling the sim thanks to the new update! arrggg!

How much punishment can one take ha

I had the same feelings at the beginning. Meanwhile I purchased Fsxsteam and put MSFS on hold (less than 50 hrs. flown). I´ll wait till MS and Asobo improve aircraft panels (not having to buy third parties, which I won´t) turning operative the "inoperative"; better roads and waterways, and even rail tracks for the old "visual navigation" which is the better in MSFS. (If they could mix it with "trainsim", it would be a must.

May be they could hold Update VIII till most of the aforesaid has been accomplished.

Good landings and be patient. The trash can will be always available.
