AOA Simulations Update On T-6B Texan II

Finally here is an update for our T-6B Texan II fans!

We apologize for the lack of communication during those last few weeks, but we preferred to focus on quality and decided to share screenshots only when we had solid and significant progress to show. And now we think we do!

Looks wonderful, but I find X-Plane add-ons are much more expensive than their FSX/P3D/MSFS counterparts. Plus Laminar has just announced X-Plane 12 and I'm not going to make the same mistake of buying add-ons shortly before the next gen release and find they're not compatible (like with X-Plane 9-->10-->11), unless developers give guarantee of free update.

For any addon of similar quality and level of fidelity, the prices are generally very close to each other. In fact, in many cases addons for X-Plane are cheaper than for P3D!
For example, the most expensive airliners (FS Labs, PMDG, Leonardo, Majestic, et al) are all FSX/P3D addons. The FF 757 is significantly less than the PMDG 737, Toliss/FF A320's much less than FS Labs, etc.

In General Aviation, MilViz King Air is 2x the expense of AirFoil Labs King Air. A2A Sims C172 is 2x the cost of AFL C172.

So far, there are too few High Fidelity addons for MFS 2020 to draw direct comparisons, but the trend is (finally) for costs to be around the same price as X-Plane.
We can look at Aerosoft and Carenado where the prices are the same across platforms, and are cheaper than many addons, etc.

I don't really know which addons youre comparing, but certainly anything of "Good" quality is relatively the same or cheaper in XP.

Hey clankilp, yeah I don't operate in those leagues that you're talking about. Have never bought a FS Labs, PMDG, Leonardo, or Majestic aircraft and I don't even consider Milviz anymore. I don't like tubeliners and only look at small aircraft and helicopters, maybe a GA twin if it is really good value.

Over the last few years I've bought about 50 aircraft for XP11 at an average price of $18. Over the same period, I have bought three or four times as many aircraft for FSX/P3D at an average price of $12. That's a 50% difference. I only buy on sale and generally don't bother if the discount is not more than 30%.

X-Plane aircraft, especially on the X-Plane.org site, hardly never go on sale and when they do, it is not easy to find anything decent below $20. Whereas with FSX/P3D aircraft, they go on sale all the time at very good discounts and often you can pick them up for $10-15, which is where I operate. Yes I know I'm a cheapskate, but I like bargains and they're very rare with X-Plane 11.

I like what I see so far for MSFS and have paid around $10 average for the handful purchases (all on sale): Bleriot XI, Caudron Rafale, PT-17 Stearman, Edgley Optica. So, it looks like MSFS is the best value yet.
