Another 10 or more hours downloading these "scenery Updates" that these guys force whether you want them or not. More scenery and Trips that "they" want but not all appreceiate it. They treat this like a simple game, which it really is, as a sim it needs much more than scenery. Their servers must be 1995 vintage!!!

You have to manually select and download the World Update 4 Scenery from the Marketplace actually so you DO have a choice

Another Microsoft debacle of a FORCED Update that creates more problems than it solves as after this update the only thing i can do with the sim is watch it crash to desktop over and over great job guys!!!!

I have exactly the same problem as you. The flights simulator bows out without saying hello to me.
I now have anxiety when I install an update.

Check your community folder and delete any mods with a .wasm index. There is a known issue with this.

It isn't Microsoft's fault that you don't have enough bandwidth (and it might not be your fault either, you might not have any good options). I've never seen faster downloads than with MSFS. Mine hit 138MB/s and the whole World Update took only about an hour to download. You can complain about a lot of things, but Microsoft's download speed isn't one of them.

Many thanks for the tip about .wasm index files. I had a proven airfield in Idaho blow up my Seattle flights, after the update. Took hours to find the culprit, so this will help a lot.
