    This is my review and limited tutorial of the Working Title CJ4 Mod. In real life, in one of the jets I currently fly, I use the identical avionics and FMS that this mod is based on.

    About The Working Title CJ4 Mod

    The Working Title Cessn Citation CJ4 mod is a freeware third party upgrade of the popular bizjet that is a default aircraft in MSFS 2020. The mod makes the plane more realistic by upgrading systems and features to better match the real world aircraft.

    This is an ongoing process, with the plane current at version beta v0.9.1.

      I did that to show the checklist portion at the end without making the video any longer. If you go to settings on the YouTube video you can adjust the playback speed so it will play the video slower and you can see what I did. The CJ4 in FS2020 floats a lot compared to jets I have flown and fly in real life currently. In FS2020 and in real life, I do not look at the power setting on short final, mostly airspeed and outside the window at the runway. In real life, I do know the power will be set around 57% N1 on a 3 degree glide path with gear down and full flaps. Small adjustments in pitch and power will be made to maintain no less than Vref. Pitch controls airspeed and power controls altitude (rate of climb or descent) In real life I will hold no less than Vref+10 but once I near the airport and cross the threshold of the runway, I want to be at Vref. An exercise to try is calculate Vref or just pick some random approach speed.. say 120-130 knots in the CJ4. Practice descending at 1000 feet per minute and adjust power and pitch to hold 1000 feet per minute and 130 knots indicated airspeed. Make small corrections and do it without looking at the power setting.
