Let’s make a few changes and get even more money. Nice planes, terrible prices.

I bought the 737 pack for FSX then had to pay full price again to upgrade it for P3DV3. Now they want me to pay full price again to upgrade to P3DV4.... Nah,,, sorry. You lost my business. and your support is absolutely shocking. You are nothing but money hungry thieves and I am not the only one saying this. There is no discount for upgrading. They charge full price on everything.. GOODBYE PMDG.

The exchange rate here in Australia floats around the 60 to 70 cents exchange rate and makes it very expensive buying in USD. I have spent hundreds of dollars on PMDG products and have emailed and asked on the forums a few times why do you charge full prices to upgrade when people already have bought the aircraft and have to pay full prices again to update and never have received any repiles from PMDG.

Sorry PMDG I have to agree with the others. You make a nice airplane but I am done paying for it over and over again. It works just fine with what I have now. If I spend these kind of prices again I would at least try something different like the 787 from Dreamworks or the Mad Dog. Both those have some real innovation in their products.

      Let me expand a little.
Its already been said by a few folks but I'll add a bit.
PMDG, what is wrong with you? When did you become so greedy? Nevermind...that was a while ago. When did you become so lazy? Nevermind, that was a while ago too.
I bought the NGX for FSX...then the 600/700 "expansion" which was a clear joke and was obviously your way of getting more money from me. But I sucked it up because it was a good product. Then I got your MD 11, and 747, and 777...and well we all know the story...P3D drops and you decide its just so very hard to port your products over that you just can't afford to give them away for free to existing customers...BUT WAIT!!!! There's more. Indeed you couldn't even offer a discount. BUT WAIT!!! There's more. You doubled the price. Why? Oh that's easy...greed. You knew no one else was making a product on par with yours, so you knew if we wanted it, we'd pay for it. Disgusting. But wait!!! Yeah, there's more. This has become your business model...all the way through the NGXu...and I'm sure this will continue to be your practice, because you only care about the money. Shame on you. And now, after charging an absurd amount of money for the NGXu, you want to charge us for a cargo expansion? What a shame that no one has stepped in and created Boeing products on par with yours. You note i mentioned that twice. Indeed you make great products...you really do. Thats what makes this so much more shameful and Disgusting in my opinion. You are taking advantage of the community.
But the worst part of all is that you don't care. I bought the NGX, and its expansion 3 times now at full price. Same thing for the 747, and 777. Aren't you glad you wrangled so much money out of me? And you will pull the same garbage with FS2020.
Now to those who want to say "just don't buy the product then". Sure, but since no one else is making a 737NG, or a 747, or a 777 on par with the quality of PMDG, my option is buy it, or don't fly it. And thats why PMDG charges what they charge...because they get away with it and no one challenges them. It is a shameful practice.
Now to be fair, they aren't the only ones doing it, they are just the worst at it. I am a big fan of their products, but certainly not of their business practice nor the way they treat their customers.
But hey, what do I know? I'm just another sucker in the flight sim community who doesn't know how to create my own aircraft so I'm stuck with companies charging extremely high rates over and over again for their products because they can.
I'm not sure what else to say except that I hope someone else starts creating Boeing products that challenge PMDG so I can take my business elsewhere.
Oh yeah...and I can only imagine what the cost will be for FS2020 products and their "expansions".
Let's be clear...FSX, P3D (ALL VERSIONS) and FS2020 all share something....the same base code. Thats why most developers port their products at no charge, or little charge, because its a little work. PMDG, your products are not so much better in P3D that you are justified charging double...and certainly not charging again for a new P3D release.
What a shame that such a small overall community is so corrupted by greed and egos.
I will say one last thing. I fly FSX, P3D, and X-PLANE...and I will fly FS2020. X-PLANE has the Zibo 737...which is on par with PMDG and in so many ways, so much better...oh and by the way, its free.
Shame on you. And I hope my comment stays and doesn't get deleted just so you can snicker at it and keep calling us suckers.
I despise your business practice and look forward to you being shut down someday.

I gave up on PMDG with wanting full prices for every update. I purchased the IFly 737 for P3DV4 and was very happy with the price. Half the cost of PMDG and 99% functionality. And they don't charge for updates and the forum is fantastic and IFly customer service is exemplary. Not like PMDG customer service. People are finally starting to wake up that PMDG may have the market covered and charge theiving prices.
