    Skysong Soundworks: A NOTAM About Audio/Legacy Audio In MSFS 2020

    Like many developers, Skysong Soundworks has been trying to adapt to creating add-ons for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. As a specialist in sound, the lack of adequate details in the current SDK have prevented doing anything more than a little experimentation. To be clear, current products do not work with MSFS 2020 but it is hoped that new ones will be possible in the future.

    MSFS 2020 Update #5 Delayed

    The Microsoft Flight Simulator design team had previously announced that update #5 would be coming out this week, but have now announced that it will be delayed. They've had issues related to the autopilot in various planes and so will delay things for a few days while they work this out.

    Flightbeam Studios Previews Washington Dulles Airport

    Flightbeam Studios previews their upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator scenery of Washington Dulles International Airport (KIAD). Feedback from their previous MSFS 2020 scenery asked for higher quality airport surrounds and this will be included in this KIAD scenery, with lots of upgrades for the airport compared to previous versions done for other sims.

    TDM Scenery Design Previews La Coruna

    TDM Scenery Design announces that they are hard at work on Microsoft Flight Simulator scenery of La Coruna in Spain. The terminal and technical block are built and painted, but still require the addition of PBR and proper placement. While there is still work to do, the provided screen shots give and idea of how it will look in MSFS 2020.

    Fsdreamteam Updates Vancouver MSFS

    Fsdreamteam announces a major update to their Vancouver Airport (CYVR) scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport is now completely update to 2020, with Main Terminal Pier D extension added, airside operations building area added, added details at de-icing pad and many more added details.

    IndiaFoxtEcho Long-EZ Update Under Development

    IndiaFoxtEcho released their Long-EZ for Microsoft Flight Simulation a few weeks ago and has been collecting feedback from users. This morning they've announced they are working on an update based on this feedback to address things like the canopy glass. MSFS 2020 pilots should have this updated version available shortly.

    QualityWings Announces 787 Ultimate For MSFS

    Another developer announces their plans for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator, with QualityWings providing some preview images of their 787 Ultimate. This is just the sort of plane that many MSFS 2020 users have been asking for, but you'll have to be patient as it's not expected to be ready until Q2 of 2021. QualityWings will also continue improving their FSX/P3D version of the 787.

    REX Weather Force Tech Update 1.1 Public Preview Available

    The public preview of Technical Update 1.1 of REX Weather Force 2020 is now available to try in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The software is available for download but with a limited run time and at the user's risk. It does include a variety of fixes as well as a couple of additions.

    IndiaFoxtEcho MSFS 2020 Vision And Product Roadmap

    Aircraft designer IndiaFoxtEcho has posted a major announcement about their plans for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Their first two releases have been well received and they now have ten new projects in the works. Because of the current state of MSFS 2020 these are separated into three tiers, depending on whether the planes can be accurately done now given the current state of the sim or whether they are longer term projects.

    MK-Studios New Screen Shots Of Helsinki

    MK-Studios reports progress on their scenery of Helsinki Airport, with the release of some new screen shots. No firm release date yet, but the do expect it before the VATSIM Cross the Pond event in a few weeks.

    Airworthy Designs: Update On TNCM For MSFS 2020

    Back in August Airworthy Designs announced they would be developing Saint Martin and Grand Case for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. They continue to make progress and have just released some new screen shots of TNCM.

    MSFS October 22 Development Update

    Two months after the initial release, weekly updates continue from the Microsoft Flight Simulator development team. They are prepping to release update #5 next week and will be hosting a live developer Q&A. A new video has been released showcasing North America, they are back on track on the VR build and the SDK continues to improve.

    FS Academy Releases IFR Training Program For MSFS

    Microsoft Flight Simulator wishing to improve their skills in a realistic manner will be interested in IFR just released by FS Academy. This package provides instrument training lessons for MSFS 2020 very similar to what real world pilots use. These skills apply to any plane you wish to fly and cover both classic "steam gauges" and modern glass cockpits.
