MSFS August 13th, 2020 Development Update

    With release just a few days away what more is there to announce? Well Microsoft still wanted to get in one last Microsoft Flight Simulator Development Update. Those who have the closed beta will lose access to it on August 17th. A new partnership series video introducing VATSIM has been released. You can also watch a Q&A session with the actual developers.

    MSFS VFR Flight Around Queenstown New Zealand

    FlightSim.Com Video Team member MrYorkiesWorld returns with another look at the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. Today he takes aCessna 172 on a VFR flight exploring the region around Queenstown, New Zealand. This is a beautiful part of the world and getting low and slow over it in a light GA plane really shows off the new MSFS scenery.

    Development Update On Indiafoxtecho Long-EZ

    Developer Dino Cattaneo of Indiafoxtecho has news on his upcoming Long-EZ for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. Following feedback from testers, the cockpit has been redesigned with larger instruments. The outer model is done but no final decision of liveries has been made. It should be ready for release about the time that MSFS launches.

    Clever programmers have always pushed the limits of what our flight simulators can do, and here we see a new example for Microsoft Flight Simulator before it's even released.     Photosim Labs MSFS Release Plans

    Scenery developer Photosim Labs has announced additional plans in regards to releases for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. Those who buy their TISX scenery for Prepar3D will receive a discount on the MSFS version. They also state that their previously announced Cuba scenery will now be released for MSFS before Prepar3D and that there is a lot more Caribbean scenery coming for both P3D and MSFS.

    PILOT'S GesmbH Previews Alicante For MSFS

    Today long time developer PILOT'S reveals that they too are jumping into developing for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. The announcement includes screen shots but few other details of upcoming scenery for LEAL Alicante Airport in Spain. They previously released this same airport for P3D v5.

    Aerosoft Previews First MSFS Airport Scenery

    Like many other developers, Aerosoft is hard at work creating add-ons for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. Today they have news and in-sim screen shots of their first big airport scenery which will be Brussels Airport in Belgium. The supplied pictures indicate development is well on its way.

    Carenado Announces First Two MSFS Aircraft

    Today in a brief Facebook post, aircraft developer Carenado announced they are working on two aircraft for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. The new aircraft are the CT182T Skylane and the M20R Ovation, both of which they have previously released for other sims. They say these will be ready soon.

    Navigraph Discusses MSFS Plans

    Another developer chimes in with their plans for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. To support MSFS, Navigraph will offer charts and FMS data. The video presentation also goes into the importance of having unified data across all parts of the flightsim ecosystem, which Navigraph will enable by offering APIs to developers.

    FSDreamTeam Further Preview Of O'Hare For MSFS

    Just announced a few days ago, more previews of Chicago O'Hare Airport for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator have been posted by FSDreamTeam. No new details are provided, just a nice group of images showing off the terminal area.

    FSimStudios Previews Vancouver For MSFS

    While still primarily focused on developing scenery for Prepar3D v5, FSimStudios has announced their first project for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator: Vancouver. Two early WIP in-sim screen shots are included in the announcement. Vancouver for P3D v4 and v5 is reported to be coming soon.

    VFR Circuit Around Catania Sicily in Microsoft Flight Simulator

    FlightSim.Com Video Team member MrYorkiesWorld returns today with another flight in the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time he takes up a Cessna 172 and visits the region of Catania in Sicily, starting from runway 26 and LICC. This will give a good look at the scenic Italian coast and the city itself.
