• Where in the World Feature 121

Just like Barnum and Bailey set records for the circus, this feature is setting records for flightsim features! Number 121 this time but first ... Mr. Fred Cox submitted challenge #120 which was the home and training grounds for Barnum and Bailey from 1960 to 1992 - Venice, Florida (KVNC). Yes, "The Greatest Show on Earth" was in Sarasota, FL from the 1920s! Reportedly the real-world photo posted (Southwest winglet) was flying into Ft. Lauterdale NOT Venice (or Sarasota)!

    All of our guessers:

    Paul Dee
    Charlie Aron
    Tristan Cleofe
    Karl Kratt
    Joe Bowers
    Reid Gearhart
    Amber Dog
    Dick Bronson
    Scott Brandenburg
    Tony Traxler
    Vic Fox
    Christian Bachmann
    Paul Kiver
    Jose Martinez
    David Tinker
    Khalid Al-Izzi
    Lou Wassenaar
    Jeff Cybulski
    Thomas Oftedal
    Dennis Knight
    Terry Stilling
    Bob Bina

    Some wrong locations offered:

Well guess what ... Everyone picked Florida and over the years, Barnum and Bailey were based in several locations around the state.

And now ... the moment you've been waiting for ... the Feature of the month ... Where in the World Numberrrrrrr (Okay, I need to stop the circus theme...)

Number 121 is a "tropical" location, both an air and naval base, but also an airport ... A location featured prominently in, a movie about a tardy hero and a movie about an officer who may also be a nice guy. Is that too much? I figured if I just NAMED the movies ... oh well, it's done now.

Where In The World?     Where In The World?

Where In The World?     Where In The World?
