    Throughout the development process, there are always some progress updates by our designers and developers that don't make it to social media. Whether it's a slightly different angle on the autopilot panel, or a rendering for the purpose of furthering a discussion, some of these don't see the light of day.

    Today we'll change all of that by sharing some shots that didn't make it. We'll start off with a beautiful wireframe of the A350's iconic wing profile from early on in development.

    Eventually, it's useful for our 3D artists to see what a new aircraft looks like with a fresh coat of paint. It helps them determine if the UV Unwrapping is ready to work with. It's also a nice break from building the aircraft model! The very first livery out of the paint shop was Singapore Airlines.

    As development continued, so did work inside the cockpit. A question we get with each communication on new or updated aircraft is, /"Will the buttons be clickable?"/ For now, we will still animate new screens, buttons, and switches that are tied to our 2D interface. One of our goals has been to allow users to keep both hands on the device while manipulating the controls. Keeping buttons and switches at "thumbs reach" during critical phases of flight is important to us, so users don't have to pan down, find a lever, toggle it, and reset their view. Having said that, this isn't stopping us from adding all of the appropriate elements to the A350's cockpit.

    Of course not all of these glorious switches will be functional out of the gate. Our aircraft pipeline is built entirely in-house, giving us complete control over development, and allowing us to accurately trade quality, performance, and speed.

    Please note that all renderings are subject to change and are an active work in progress at the time of this post. Renderings may not be a final representation of the completed aircraft.
