I have the JF Beech Duchess in my FSX installation, update date is 4-15-09. Obviously this article refers to a new version, is what is shown in this article basically a new aircraft or an upgrade to the '09 Duchess?

This is an update to version v1.08. You probably have the previous update v1.06. The changelog is shown at the very beginning of the article.
