• Where in the World Feature 117

In our last feature, Charlie Aron took us on a scenic day trip to Giora, Spain.

Where In The World 116 Answer

Our brave guessers for number 116:

    Paul Davis
    John Chen
    Daniel Kittler
    Roger Wensley
    Eric Ellis
    Steve Morley
    Terry Labadie
    Mike Toogood
    Thomas Pedersen
    Christian Bachmann
    Paul Kiver
    Reid Gearhart
    Bob Bina
    Ulf Kristoffersson
    Devin Mutschler
    Thomas Oftedal
    Otto Hans Nitsch
    Frank Picard
    Paul Close
    Viggo Butler

Some missed the mark with these locations:

    • Venice, Italy
    • Malaga, Spain (which was Feature #109)
    • Cordoba, Spain
    • Sevilla, Spain
    • Barcelona (would be hard to see that in one day!)

**Several of you noted that the AIRPORT featured was Barcelona even though the CITY in question was Giora. Looks like Charlie tried to throw us an illegal curve.

Feature Number 117 is one I've been holding onto for a while. It's not an airport but a place I lived in my youth. It is said (and my photo and video clues show you) that as commercial pilots departed from the large International airport in the area, (do not name the airport!) they noticed an elevated valley with temperate, clearer weather and during the 1960s and 1970s, many pilots settled in this place known in native tongues as "rabbit valley." Where in the World was my former home?
