    Virtualcol - ATR 42

    Today commercial aircraft developer Virtualcol offers a freeware gift to the flightsim community in the form of ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft for both FS2004 and FSX. That's not all, as they've also thrown in an FS2004 scenery of Tocumen International Airport in Panama.

    These aircraft are full packages, each with many variants, virtual cockpit, turboprop sounds, user manual and a large set of liveries.

      Yes indeed, many thanks Virtualcol. Unexpectedly this ATR model works well in P3Dv4.4 and is a very welcome addition to the fleets of us "soft core" simmers who like a reasonable level of system sophistication to make it interesting but don't want to wade through a hefty manual before pushing back from the ramp.

      Does anybody is experiencing the altimeter showing transition from 100 to hundred feet? not showing for example 3430 feet... it remains 3400 until reaching 3500 when it jumps immediately from 3400 to 3500... help is appreciated thanks.

      I have the ATR-72 user manual in PDF format. What do you need a README for?

      Oversite on my part Mr Zippy. I was looking in the unzipped folder which didn't contain the PDF link. I looked in the zip & found it. Thanks

      I wasted a day to understand why there are 5 arrows on the bow, in the end I threw the plane without any texture in order to see the gmax !! And I understood why it's free! Some mistakes are amateurs.

      Some ATR-42s had them. Other vendor models depict them as well ... with improved accuracy, sure. Virtualcol planes are low cost, "value" models, not PMDG, but I've always thought there's a place for lower priced aircraft in the hobby. Good for them.
