    Review: Orbx CityScene Barcelona

Following on from their hugely successful CityScene Gold Coast, Orbx have now released their second in the series of CityScene products; Barcelona, the largest city in Catalonia, Spain. Created by Allen Kriesman (Scenery Solutions and UTX fame), these incredibly detailed sceneries contain the following features:

    • Highly detailed city and urban landscapes brought to life
    • Accurate and detailed buildings that go far beyond the limitations of the MSFS/P3D autogen system
    • Realistic photoreal/satellite ortho-imagery base
    • Dense and highly-accurate vegetation placement
    • Road traffic, vector, mesh (DEM) and landclass where required
    • Full five seasons (where applicable) and complete night lighting
    • Important POI, landmarks and features modelled
    • Optimised for the best balance between performance and detail

    What/Where Is It?

CityScene Barcelona covers the entire city. This includes the main city from the coast, to the Parc Natural de la Serra de Collserola, and then stretches out towards some of the more rural regions of the city to the north and south, going as far as Badalona and Castelldefels.

Within this region you have Barcelona El Prat Airport (LEBL) as well as numerous famous landmarks, including FC Barcelona's stadium, Camp Nou, and the world famous Cathedral Basilica de Barcelona.

    Installation

As with all sceneries from Orbx, installing Barcelona was a breeze, with the FTX Central 3 launcher automating the entire process.

    Documentation

Once installed, you will find a nice and healthy 12-page 'User Guide' readily available, which contains numerous facts about Barcelona, setting up the scenery, and developer credits. It's an interesting read and one that I recommend reading through on purchase.

Very nice article Michael, well done!

Orbx never cease to amaze me with the quality of their sceneries, and this review is a testament to that.

      Great article Micheal.
Orbx will cause a divorce if the missus ever finds out how much I've spent on their scenery,,
