• Where in the World Feature 104

Melo Scanlon has been active in the FS world for a long time, since the CompuServe days at least. He is a warbirds fan (specifically the Spitfire) and is based out of Torrence, California (KOTA) where Zamperini Field is named for a famous local aviator. I had the great honor of meeting Melo in person and spending a couple hours discussing flightsim and aviation - if you've read my interview hosted by this web site, you'll see that I have long believed FS was more than a "game" but is a way of bringing diverse people from various places together and that's exactly what Melo and I were able to do. Thank you FS!

Our guessers for feature #103 were:

    Charlie Aron
    Bastian Blinten
    Nick Watson
    Girard Guichard
    Dick Bronson
    Don Street
    Paul Kiver
    Mike Guttman
    Devin Mutschler
    David Tinker
    Joe Bowers
    Bojo Perez
    Will de Boer
    Thomas Oftedal
    J.W.M.
    Viggo Butler
    Otto Hans Nitsch

    Some wrong locations offered up:

    • Indiana County, Jimmy Stewart Airport (ICAO: KIDI)
    • Andrews AFB, MD (ICAO: KADW)
    • Porter County Regional, Wings of Freedom (ICAO: KVPZ)
    • Vance AFB, OK (ICAO: KEND)
    • Randolph AFB, Texas (ICAO: KRND)

Here we go pilots, Where in the World Feature #104 is from Thomas Pederson who offers us this one-and-only clue: "This is a very old island nation." Great Thomas, thanks for that. Luckily he included lots of photos from his travels there.

Okay pilots, it's up to you to figure out Where in the World we are this month. To make a guess or submit a suggestion for a future Where in the World feature, just send an email to the address below.
