    Announcing Cockpit-Fest USA 2018

    During 2018 there will actually be two Cockpit-Fest USA events. "Warbirds On Parade 2018" will be held at the Cold War Air Museum in September. Cockpit-Fest USA will also team up with FlightSimCon which is holding their sixth annual flight simulator conference in Dallas during June.

    Review: Turbulent Designs Big Bear Airport

    Turbulent Design has created the first add-on scenery for Dovetail Games' Flight Sim World, showcasing Big Bear Airport in California. The airport and surrounding area include a huge amount of detail and show what can be done in FSW. It does lack some things, like seasonal textures, notes reviewer Michael Hayward but he finds it a place he enjoys flying to and from.

    Mario Donick uses X-Plane as his main simulator, and sometimes P3D and Flight Sim World. As well as flying both simulated and real aircraft, Mario also writes reviews, tutorials and manuals for FS MAGAZIN (German bi-monthly print magazine) and aids add-on developers, such as vFlyteAir, and on occasion, Aerobask). Mario also provides X-Plane customer support for Aerosoft and works for a (non-flight simulation related) communications service provider.

    FSW SDK And P-40F Warhawk Available Now

    Dovetail Games has announced the release of the Software Developers Kit (SDK) for Flight Sim World (FSW). This will open the door for developers to create content for FSW. It includes the same tools used by DTG developer partners. Also announced is the Curtiss P-40F Warhawk, developed by BlueSky Flight Simulations.

    Review: Piper PA28 Arrow III for FSW

    The PA-28R Arrow III from Just Flight is the first third-party add-on for Flight Sim World. It takes full advantage of the advanced visual fidelity FSW provides and features custom-coded avionics as well as full fuel and electrical systems, a complete set of failure scenarios and checklists, and an authentic sound set from Turbine Sound Studios. Reviewer Michael Hayward likes it enough that it's currently the only aircraft he flies in FSW.

    Now available from Taburet is Singapore and Malaysia 10m Mesh. This scenery provides elevations points on the ground in a grid of 10 x 10 meters resolution shaping terrains as real as it get. It can be used as addition to photorealistic scenery, Night3D Scenery, vectors scenery and textures add-ons in FSX, FSW or P3D.
