Cessna's 525A Citation CJ2 is one of many members of the large Citation family of business jets continually developed since the late 1960s. The 525 models were new designs introduced in 1991, and the 525A CJ2 is a stretched version introduced in 2000. Compared with the Learjet 45, the 525A Citation CJ2 is smaller, lighter and less powerful, and it has a shorter range and lower cruising altitude.

These data were obtained from Carenado's aircraft configuration file. Cessna built so many variants of its Citation CJ series that I was unable to find physical and performance criteria online that specifically regard only the 525A CJ2 aircraft rendered by Carenado.

    Carenado's Cessna 525A Citation CJ2

Carenado lists many varied features of its Cessna 525A Citation CJ2 business jet regarding appearances, performance, customization and user manuals. It is compatible with FSX Acceleration, FSX Steam and P3D. I reviewed the FSX version.

    Exteriors of Carenado's Cessna 525A Citation CJ2

This business-jet package includes five high-definition liveries, one solid white model for custom repainting, and high-definition (4096 x 4096) textures. All required parts are shown such as antenna and pitot tubes. All relevant features are seen such as seams, rivets, hardware, shadows and reflections. High-definition surfaces are clearly visible on close inspection.

A quick glance at the specifications supplied by Carenado tells me they didn't do their homework. The CJ series uses Williams engines. The 550 series uses Pratt engines. A pilot report for the CJ2 can be found in the November 2000 issue of Flying Magazine.

You are spot on Michael. Williams/Rolls-Royce FJ44-2C turbofan engines rated at 2,400. Bad error by Carenado as far as getting it right goes.

I thought that the Williams engine performance had been used in the model.
Can't find any Carenado references to the P&W in their literature

The general data in the cfg file used by the review is the same as their Citation S550 and appears to be irrelevant when it comes to the actual performance of this model.

So , the CJ2 specs used in the review are probably wrong and need attention.

I like the way this one handles ; so much better than the S550

The reviewer has confused the CJ2 with the Citation II.

C90 GTX King Air starts normal and runs for a few minutes in the air and then the engines go off. Using P3d V34 and anyway the plane is started does not help. has anyone have a solution since I am not getting support from Carenado The gauges so all is normal and then the left engine goes off followed by the right engine after a few minutes of flight
