Other Question: is that really so good that it justifies releasing it as a standalone payware product instead of an update for REX4?

      hi
I have just updated rex 4 and agree, why not textures like soft clouds in there?....simply a marketing ploy. I bought soft clouds and I am amazed!!!!!!!!!!!!! simply stunning for such a small price it is well worth it!!!! mist ,fog low visibility settings are fantastic!!.....I fly vfr like in real life this is one fantastic product my friends. complements the rex update superbly.

I would say , negative. I have a comment too:

REX is trying to take credit for volumetric when P3D does not need help from REX to be volumetric. I would love to see REX make FS2004 or FSX clouds as good as P3D clouds. I want to be clear here, I'm not talking about cloud textures I'm talking volume (solving the billboard issue) appearance.

Sadly there are many people who are fooled by marketing hype. REX would never have survived because they made claims about smooth weather generating utilities and have yet to deliver and this is tolerated.....very foolish because the standards get lowered and stagnation sets in. Thankfully we have Hi Fi Technologies with ASN.

Hi everyone. I have just purchased & downloaded REX - Soft Clouds from FS Pilot Shop but on trying to unzip the file, I get a 'suspicious item' warning from my Avast security. The 'suspicious item' that is flagged up is - Win32:Evo-gen[susp]. Naturally installation stops at this point. Wondering if any other users are experiencing the same difficulty. Andy.
