    Before I Begin

This product is an AI traffic add-on, and this review will be a departure from the usual aircraft add-ons I review, and perhaps slightly shorter. Enough of that, let's begin!

    More On The Product

This AI traffic add-on adds hundreds if not thousands of new aircraft and AI flight plans into your flight simulator. AI traffic simply means aircraft that participate in the overall simulation, but are uncontrollable by the player. AI traffic does communicate with ATC, and they obey strictly to ATC rules. ATC will also monitor AI traffic just like how they monitor you. They will alert the traffic and you if you are getting too close and instruct to take any necessary procedures.

This add-on adds 60 aircraft types in total into flight simulator's AI library, and can be also purchased as an upgrade, if you already have the Traffic X package, for a cheaper price. This add-on is both FSX and Prepar3D compatible, and should be used sparingly (in terms of the traffic sliders), as dragging the sliders to full will boost traffic substantially, and this would result in frame rate loss. The AI traffic are not exactly high quality, like something you would find off a payware aircraft add-on, but rather, I find them to be of perfect balance between detail and frame rate friendliness.

Moving on, I'll talk about the detailed features of the product.

    Traffic Control Centre

With this add-on, you will get an app known as the "Traffic Control Centre". We'll take a look at the detailed features of this center one by one.

    Airline/Carrier Codes

Firstly, let me start you off with a screen shot of the menu:

In this menu, you can explore and change the carrier codes. This menu is more for "derping around" than to increase realism, and in this menu all you can do would be to change the names of airlines that operate the aircraft in FSX, and to un-include any airlines from having aircraft as AI traffic in the simulator. While this is definitely not something you would play around with often, I think Just Flight added this menu to increase choice for the users. To be honest, I still am not sure what this menu does, and my previous comments are mainly guesses. This menu is also perhaps a place for you to create your own fictional airline? I do hope that those with more experience with this add-on can share more information on this menu, and what it does. I think that's all I can provide for this menu, so let's move onto the next!

    Airport Information

This menu is titled airport information, and is basically what you would expect: information on all the airports available in the simulator. Let me give you a screen shot, and a sample of the text written about one of the airports:

    Text:

    WSSS Changi, Singapore
    Latitude N1*21.55'
    Longitude E103*59.36'
    Elevation 7 mtr
    Time Zone GMT+08:00

    Length Width Surface
    13179 197 HARD
    13152 197 HARD

    Parking Positions:
    CARGO 50.0 4
    GATE 18.0 19
    GATE 23.0 30
    GATE 26.0 10
    GATE 36.0 18

I'm not exactly sure how this information is going to be used, although you can edit it. This information does impact the add-on or simulator itself, I do think. It perhaps tells the add-on how many parking spaces an airport has, and this would regulate the amount of traffic going into the airport. However, I'm not exactly sure, so I would appreciate is anyone could give me more information on this section. Thanks!

The models looks very poor modeled for me comparing to others available. Perhaps a future revision address that.

I agree. I had that product and the models+liveries were both terrible. There are freeware ai planes that are better than this.

Hmm...really? I thought they were at least acceptable...

Well, I looked at a few more add ons for AI traffic, and they all appeared the same to me. Could you maybe give more information on why you think that this add on is terrible?

The menu does have a purpose, actually it's very handy.

It can modify and create flightplans very quickly and simply.

I think the quality of the models is good and it runs on the lower spec systems without sacrificing too much visual quality.

Looks like reviews are tied at 2 - 2.

Yeah, I guess that would be the purpose. I wiuldny inagine Anyone wanting to add anymore flight plans to the already massive database, but I imagine some people have a specific route they want, or perhaps fictional routes. I would also agree that the add on us good for running even for low sox systems.

What do you mean by that?

I actually own this product, and i enjoy it a lot. I do feel as you do that the models are low quality, but i assume this is a trade off between playability and graphics. i guess if every model were fully detailed and hi res textures, then the traffic would probably crash the computer in higher density traffic areas such as hub airports.

I recently purchased this product and find it very enjoyable and interesting. It allows you to make livery changes very easily and also provides AI planes for you to fly if you want. The flyable planes are AI and so are pretty simple but not so simple as to look cheap and unrealistic. I enjoy it because there are seemingly limitless combinations and livery to choose from. To really enjoy the AI you must have your aircraft density turned up to ultra high. That is the only drawback i can find besides one of the AI planes cannot detach the ramp and so you can fly around with it. Pretty funny looking.

Yep, bu then again for those who want a few Hugh res ao add ons, one could always add a flight olan for one of this'd PNdG planes using something like ai flight planner

Yea, the combinations are seemingly limitless, and I agree with your comments about the planes, and should I mention that there were two747s flying into each other ?

Is this the same thing as WOAI?

      If so, which is better?

I mean performance wise and stability with FSX in general. WOAI traffic is usually cramped up at some airports and not at others.

I guess I'm saying, which program is realistic to the real world traffic?

      Thx
