    Virtualcol Releases Freeware Scenery And Aircraft

    Well known developer Virtualcol usually develops for the payware marketplace, but over the past couple of days they have generously released some of their older ATR 42 and 72 planes and some scenery as freeware, which is now available for download from the FlightSim.Com file library.

    Virtualcol - ATR 42/72 Released As Freeware

    Today commercial aircraft developer Virtualcol offers a freeware gift to the flightsim community in the form of ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft for both FS2004 and FSX. That's not all, as they've also thrown in an FS2004 scenery of Tocumen International Airport in Panama.

    Freeware Focus: Ford Tri-Motor Project

    After trying, over the years, all the flight simulators from FS2000 to Prepar3D, Robin Meyerowitz found that immersion is more important than realism and that FS2004 suited that need for him. To aid that, he discovered the Ford Tri-Motor Project put together by Garry J. Smith and Edward C. Moore.     VOZ 1.8 Scenery Again Available For FS2004

    What is perhaps the most popular FS2004 scenery of all time VOZ 1.8 is again available, and can now be obtained via download from the FlightSim.Com file library. Though the original source of downloads went offline last year, a version of the file was found and with the permission of the original authors has been allowed to be hosted here. FS2004 users will surely enjoy using this fine collection of Australian scenery.

    FlightSim.Com Best Of 2018 FS2004 Freeware

    After posting our "Best Of 2018" article featuring our reviewers' favorite payware, the comments we got were "what about freeware" and "don't forget FS2004". So, thanks to Robin Meyerowitz who stepped up and put together his list of favorite FS2004 freeware for 2018. Maybe not exactly a "best of" but it represents a great collection of FS2004 add-ons in a variety of categories.

    Help Shape FlightSimExpo: 2020 Date And Location Survey

    While FlightSimExpo 2019 is still some months away, the organizers are already looking ahead to 2020. They've put together a quick survey asking potential visitors when and where they would like the show to be. For 2019 they have just secured a new discount for people traveling to the show on Southwest Airlines. The 2019 show will be in Orlando this coming June.
