    NMG - King Shaka Intl Airport - Durban V2.4

    NMG now offers King Shaka International Airport - Durban V2.4 (FALE) for X-Plane 11 and Prepar3D v4. The airport was opened in 2010 and is 22 miles from the city. The scenery features detailed buildings with reflective windows, high definition textures, correct runway/taxiway layout, service vehicle compatibility and more.

    AFS Design - Airbus A330 A340 v3 for FSX Steam

    AFS Design has now released their Airbus A330 A340 v3 for FSX Steam Edition. This add-on includes six variants of the Airbus jetliner in a wide variety of airline liveries. All models have a fully functional virtual cockpit with FMC and other features. New in version three are several new repaints plus new external cockpit section, winglets, new 3D elements in VC and more.

    Review: France VFR - Midi Pyrenees Volume 1

    France VFR has a range of products for FSX and Prepar3D that are well described by their company name. In this review, Nigel Porter looks at one of their newer offerings, Midi Pyrenees Volume 1, covering a roughly 70x70 mile region northeast of Toulouse that includes some beautiful gorges and other scenery. Overall, Nigel found it to be a solid product.

    FlightSimLabs June News Update

    FlightSimLabs has a lot of news to report on upcoming products. The A319-X is expected to be released very soon. FSLSpotlights is now planned to be a free "donationware" product. Work on Concorde-X is well underway. Updates are also provided on A320-X and A321-X.

    Aerosoft - Douglas DC-8 Now Supports FSX

    The Douglas DC-8 was one of the aircraft that brought long distance air travel to the masses. For a long time, we lacked these important aircraft in our simulators but this add-on for Prepar3D v4 and now also for FSX from Aerosoft adds a version to your virtual hangar that is not only looking and sounding good, but also offers a good system depth. Every real pilot will enjoy navigating by VOR and NDB and manually managing the four finicky power plants. It is hard work but the DC-8 will reward you with great handling.

    FlightSim Development Group (FSDG) announces the release of LITE - Dakar scenery for FSX, FSX: Steam and Prepar3D v3 and v4. This latest addition to their "lite" series features a major airport in a lesser-traveled part of the world, Senegal on the west coast of Africa.

    Review: Orbx FTX Global

    Though not one of their newer products, FTX Global for FSX and Prepar3D from Orbx is one of those things considered a "must have" by many flight simmers. What it does is change the default scenery throughout the world, making textures, night lighting and so on more realistic--and without making an impact on performance. Reviewer Michael Hayward was quite impressed with the results of using this package.
