HJG (Historic Jetliners Group) has pleasure announcing the delayed arrival of its first primary release for 2022. This latest release includes more than 118 new and upgraded textures for a wide variety of vintage airliners.

While FlightSim.Com maintains a record of pretty much 100% up time, on occasion we do have to take the site offline to do some work. This time around we're remembering something slightly different, the Hawker Hunter Tower Bridge incident of 1968. The incident occurred on 5 April 1968, when RAF Hawker Hunter pilot Alan Pollock performed unauthorised low flying over several London landmarks and then flew through the span of Tower Bridge on the River Thames. His actions were to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the RAF.

Today we celebrate the first flight of the Robinson R44. The Robinson R44 is a four-seat light helicopter produced by Robinson Helicopter Company since 1992. It was first flown on 31 March 1990 and received FAA certification in December. The R44 has been the world's best-selling general aviation helicopter every year since 1999.

Today in aviation history marks the first flight of the Avro Anson, a British twin-engine, multi-role aircraft developed in the 1930's. Today in aviation marks the anniversary of the first flight of the CP-140 Aurora. The CP-140 Aurora is very similar externally to the Lockheed P-3C Orion but is different internally, using two sets of mission systems. The aircraft's sensors are primarily intended for anti-submarine warfare (ASW) work but are also capable of maritime surveillance, counter-drug and search-and-rescue missions.
